Heck ya, I love football. I thought it was a decent game.
It was nice to see The Saints win. It was kind of a feel good game.
I love Reggie Bush though. I think I have a crush on him, lol.
Drew was adorable with his son.
Porter's little daughter was adorable.
I loved watching all the post game stuff and interviews.
I am the opposite of you Sara. I cannot wait to get some snow. I just know the entire state will get like 10 inches and we will get like 2,lol. I am hoping for a snow day on Wed. We have had zero and I cannot go a whole winter without one.
Yes! Eventually, anyways. Our satellite reciever broke last night just a few minutes before kickoff.
(gm btw)
Last night was the last big night of our house being divided over football. Hannah asked a few weeks ago for one present - for me to quit being a Browns fan and cuddle on the couch with her and Joe and cheer for the tigers (the Bengals) - I'm a life long brownie, but I just couldn't say no. I thought it was the cutest thing, and I do think it'll be really nice to have this one thing we all look forward to doing together. (Not that I've ever hated the Bengals - but I've done a lot of smack talking just because it's fun.) Anyways, I'm sure it'll be a struggle. Almost as hard as scraping all the decals off my van. Dang.
We're having a snow day, despite the fact that the roads are okay (Joe said, anyways), and we're expecting more snow tonight through Wednesday. I've been sick since Friday, so I need to get it together and clean up the house today. I never feel like I'm doing enough, but when I don't do ANYTHING, I see how much gets done because the house just crumbles.
this is the 9th time this school year he has come home from school with a migraine. the last 2 times he didn't seem like he had a migraine at all.
this time as soon as he saw i wasn't acting like i was "mad" at him - he started acting totally normally.
i firmly believe he uses migraines as an excellent way to get out of school. so .... i think i'm going to tell him that he needs to establish a sleeping routine - therefore he has to stop spending the night at his friends' houses (which they do every weekend) and he has to keep getting up at the same time every day (even on weekends) to see if it helps his "migraines".

not sure what else to do.
Not looking forward to the teen years. They get so sneaky, lol.
Maybe tell him you talked to the Dr. about his migraines and they think he should have extensive testing with the next one he has. See if his migraines disappear.
dying over here. i have the stomach virus from hell and i've been awake since 1:30am in and out of the bathroom.
matt just left with the kids so i'm going to try to lay down and relax for a little while.
i didn't really watch the super bowl - i had too much other stuff to do b/c matt was at the bar and i was on bath/bed/clean up/dishes duty last night/ :eyeroll:

oh i hope you get a ton of rest today and feel 100% better .... after the kids go to bed tonight

tell him you're taking him in for a brain probe b/c you are very concerned about his "migraines."
tell him it will involve several very long needles.
Good morning. I am keeping E home from preschool today. She has a nasty cold, although she seems much better today. I went to the pharmacy yesterday and asked if they had any psuedophed (the original real deal) for kids behind the counter. He did but I was warned and how they don't like to give kids that young anything. Well after giving it to her last night she slept so much better and is doing better today.
We are suppose to get more snow too. I am so sick of it.
Oh, and I did not watch the superbowl, but went grocery shopping and was thrilled with how many people were not there.
Sappy I think you have a good idea about the migraines.
April I sure hope you are feeling better. Stomach viruses are the worst. I hope the rest of your family stays healthy.

I rock this Mom gig, don't I?
lol
here's the shitty part - he really does get migraines and when they happen they're awful. he can't see for a while, he throws up, he has a headache for hours....
that's how i know he's faking it. but i HATE the idea of calling him out - kwim?
i took him to 2 different doctors to talk about preventative medication. here's the thing - they prescribed him a low dose antidepressant as a preventative thing (off label). against my better judgement i filled the prescription. he never remembered to take it. you can't just start and stop antidepressants. especially as a teenager.
i guess if his migraines were than bad he would remember to take it, right?

blah....
actually, my teenage niece (16) is having migraines too.
She is on a daily med for her migraines as well.
My SIL took her for an MRI last weekend. They will find out results tomorrow.
She came to my house yesterday while my SIL went to a SB party and my SIL gave me her medicine. I just casually asked what it was called and she told me the name and it immediately struck me that it was an antidepressant. I thought that was strange.

I can see how it would be tempting to use that as an excuse. I'm sorry that he suffers from them at all. My sister has had a continual migraine for at least 2 years. She even sleeps in sunglasses, and had to have them keep her sunglasses on while she was being put under (and before she woke up in recovery) for an unrelated surgery. I can't even imagine.
Anyways, I had senior-itis from the time I was in 6th grade. I'm not looking forward to those days with Hannah at all!
