Seriously, do your boys have issues with tearing up clothing!?!
Bryce has put holes in 6 pairs of pants this year, 3 sweats and 3 pairs of jeans. All in the flipping knees!
He also got a new pair of shoes in Aug and by Nov I had to replace them as they were tore up. Just Friday I noticed his shoes have a hole in the toe. Seriously!!!!! His first pair were Nike's and these he has now are Sauconey's so it is not like they are just off brand no name shoes.
He is wearing me out with this constant buying of clothes.
Shirts and pajamas are the only thing that stand a chance around here.
Is this typically of boys?! This all started last year basically luckily until that point pants were able to be handed down. Shoes tearing up is this year.

Isn't there a store that guarantees their clothes to last before your kid outgrows them? I'm thinking penney or sears (which doesn't help because I don't tend to shop there.) But I would consider it once we get to this point - and I am sure we will!
very common indeed. our school uniform supplier has the knees re-enforced for extra duty so they last. The other ones we had the boys would have holes in then in no time.

i know sears did when i was little. kid vantage i believe. not sure if they still have it or not would have to look.
just looked and they still have it. i have to admit i never shop there since i get no good coupons so i am wondering if their prices would be worth it.
the sweats i got for him are the kohl's jumping beans brand i paid like $4 something a piece so it really was not a huge deal to replace them just annoying!

I bet! Especially since you have younger ones you *could* pass them down to. I would definitely be more concerned about the jeans lasting than the sweats but I have a feeling we will be running into this issue too. Dang boys!
When my ds was that age it was awful! He wore a uniform to school and had to wear dress type of shoes. He went through a pair a month. You might be pleasantly surprised by Sears. They have the Toughskin brand, and are usually pretty reasonable in price. You can always have a pair of jeans or two that are for non school times so they stay nicer. You can also buy those iron on patches and put them on the torn up knees.
wow. i never had this problem with mason, but he isn't a super rough and tumbly boy. i remember my mom constantly complaining about this when my brother was a kid though. he ALWAYS was getting holes in the knees of his pants.

You could always buy patches for the jeans....especially since spring is coming right around the corner. I know Wal Mart sells the iron on kind....just a thought. I am not looking forward to dealing with this....LOL
