good morning.

my kids were generous and let me sleep until 5:30 this morning as opposed to the 4:20 wake up yesterday.

dan stayed up until 3:00am baking some surprise for me. he is totally into baking all of a sudden and while the idea is wonderfully sweet, there are a few issues with it.

1. i just cried on his shoulder about how out of control my eating is and how i hate myself for it.

2. he left a HUGE mess in the kitchen. (including 2 overflowing garbage bags, both sinks full of dishes, etc...)

3. this guarantees he sleeps in this morning.

4. he promised caroline he would take her out to breakfast this morning.

*sigh = this is the kind of stuff that makes me crazy. it SEEMS like a sweet thing to do but if he would LISTEN to me he would know i would rather he take out the garbage, give me a break from the kids, etc.....

toooooooooooooootally.  that would make me nuts, though the intention is definitely sweet. (what did he bake?)
sonya - glad it was a great trip.  hard decisions suck. it's so hard leaving a job.

not much going on here. R has a bday party. i'm leaving C with mike. i need a break really badly. this week was TORTURE without C's binky - the kid has no calm-down mechanism now at all. her tantrums were fierce. longest week in recent memory.

tomorrow we're having brunch at R"s friend's house (i've become close with the mom, and mike coincidentally knows her S.O. from growing up, so we've been having a nice time with them).

also my hair NEEDS to be washed - it smells horrific.  horrIFIC.

gm ladies!

we are trapped in the house. argh. we definitely got over a foot of snow last night and it's still coming down hard. we probably got 14 or 15" so far and we're supposed to get up to another foot today. boo.

one of my students at school said he'd come and plow us out with his quad today. lets see if he shows up!

he made white chocolate raspberry cheesecake. i haven't tried it yet.

sorry about the no binky week. i'm still letting bennett have his - he even still has a bottle which i really want to get rid of but have put off since we just moved. i figure i'll give him a little more time to get used to the new place and then i'm going to have to bite the bullet and get rid of it.

that brunch sounds fun. we don't have ANY couple friends. when i go out i go with my sister or friends. when he goes out he goes alone or with my dad.

holy crap! that is a ton of snow.

i'm sorry about being trapped in the house. it would be a different story if you were alone and able to relax. i'm guessing if your kids are like mine it will be twice the work because you can't even take them somewhere to wear them out. cry

i hope they are super good for you today.

thanks sara.

i'm so sorry about your kitchen disaster.  that's exactly how it goes here when matt cooks.  i have a huge mess to clean up when he's done that i would rather have cooked myself.

there is no way we're getting out of this house today.  i'm hoping we can take them out in the snow at some point, but right now it's snowing way too hard to even think about that.

i'm about to make them a big breakfast of waffles, eggs and bacon.  that should keep them occupied for, oh, 15 minutes. lmao

I'd love to. I'm really hoping I can but it depends on the house selling.

Good morning!  We have snow here too, but not as much as April.  I don't know if we will be going anywhere either.

Sara I hope the mess is not as bad to clean up as it seems.

Sonya switching jobs is difficult, but it's really great that you are so appreciated and liked at your job.

Kelly I hope the birthday party goes well and today is the day C mellows from no binky.

I am waiting for my coffee to get done.  I do need to go grocery shopping, but have been putting it off.  I am hoping that this weekend we start cleaning out the "office" and get it ready to become the office/storage room.  We are going to get a freezer to put in there, which for whatever reason I am rather excited about.

Sending big hugs to you Sara. I was just internally bitching about the same thing - I'm super sickies, so Joe made dinner last night, and I never even went near the kitchen. This morning when I got up there was stuff EVERYWHERE, including an empty 6 pack and bottle from the last of some tequila we had sitting around. Bet you know which of us is sleeping in this morning. Shhhhocking.

We're snowed in, too. While I was in the kitchen, I think I saw 2 cars go by - which is crazy because our kitchen window looks out onto a major state route. At least I made it to the store yesterday, so we'll survive. You know, if I don't stab my husband.

Sorry about the snow for those of you with snow.

I really don't like snow.

Henry's friend Payton spent the night last night.

Henry is EXHAUSTED.

Payton said he was still tired too.

Payton's mom said she needed to come get him at 8:30 (or Payton said 8:00) so I made sure he was awake by 7:45.

Henry said they went to bed at midnight, then played Zoo Tycoon on his DS until 1 a.m.

I went to bed at 11.

I haven't been to Jazzercise in over a week so it's time to get my butt in gear.

There's a class at 9 this morning.

My birthday really screwed up my weight-loss efforts.

(Especially since I continued celebrating until Thursday evening.)

And now Kelley (sil) has a birthday on Monday, so there will be MORE cake.

I started working Fridays yesterday so now I work Monday, Thursday, and Friday.

Plus we've had two snow days which we make up on Wednesdays, and we have a make-up day for President's Day on a Wednesday too.

I'll be working like a maniac in February--next week MWThF, the next week WThF, and the next week MWThF.

At least I'll be making a little $.

I heart.gif my co-teacher, and the babies were surprisingly good yesterday.

Payton's mom just called, and she's running late.

I hope she gets here in time for me to make it to Jazzercise.

Glen is still sleeping.

The 3 boys are playing with modeling clay at the kitchen table, making fake food--pretzels, s'mores, and ??
