athleta workout clothes? i am not really looking for a workout wardrobe, but i have to say, they seem to have some pretty mellow summer skirts:
http://athleta.gap.com/browse/category.do?cid=46842
this is totally how i've been dressing in the summers lately - jersey type skirt and a tanktop - i'm wondering if i should order...any experience?

Yes -- love them. LOVE them. I think the quality is what you'd expect for the price, and they have a super convenient return policy.

I'm a big fan. smile

yeah i'm not feeling too picky about quality, as long as it gets me through a season or two, i'm good. i'm not buying workout clothes bc i'm too inconsistent, but i really might get a few skirts for regular life.

how is the sizing?  it's so hard to tell with something like a fold-over skirt....not sure if i should underestimate or overestimate...

I find their sizing to be pretty generous. I've returned a few things for being too big, but never too small.

They have all of that review stuff on the site which I find very helpful.

Most of what I've purchased has been workout stuff. I'm really hard on it and nuke it (literally almost -- the sanitize setting on my washing machine), and it holds up well. I figure if I'm going to spend $50 on a running shirt, it had better last, LOL. (And it does.)

In terms of non-workout clothes, my summer uniform last year was their sundresses... I'm especially fond of this one (I tend to gravitate towards tailored stuff). I anticipate I'll probably do the same this year.

HTH!

that is a really cute dress.
i could totally see wearing something like that everyday all summer.
i think for workout clothes, their prices are a lot (i spend very little on workout stuff mainly bc i never work out - lol) - but for regular clothes it's pretty reasonable (ie, gap-range).
ok i'm excited. i think i'll place an order soon - thanks.

tell me about it. i have the life where i can dress in this all the time if i wanted (since i'm home), but definitely not the career (when i go back).  THOUGH, i'm lucky in my career bc i can wear jeans everyday - i'd hate to have to dress professionally (lol).

there are a lot of things i want in here.

i'm actually not huge on tank tops (i dont mind them in the summer, but i dont like anything major, and i dont like working out in tanktops) - but the skirts...i am loving them.  the workout pants are great too, but i just do yoga in whatever comfy clothes i have in the house.  same if i go running.
