Ahh.
biggrin
I got my new book in yesterday (finally) so I dug into it and found this sweet little pattern for this adorable little doll. Before church I started working on it. Works super quick. Had the head done in an hour. Added the eyes, did the mouth at church and finished up a couple stitches at church (not during service but during Colin's choir practice so no one thinks I'm naughty)..The body works super quick. The arms and legs too! I had some fun with it. Played around with it. The legs were solid color in the book but I did brown/pink striped. And I added a running stitch around the skirt in pink just for fun! Super easy! I can send you the pattern if you want! It is super easy! Adelaide adores her Martha. I have no idea why I named it Martha but I did.

And the hair was easy! About 8" of red yarn (b/c DH said Martha had to have red hair!) and you just sew it into stitches enough to where it loops up! Super easy!

I am so never going to get a prayer shawl done. But how can I when I have so many cute little dolls, cakes, and animals to make?

(edited for spelling)

I think its funny...The cat is in freaking Heaven among all my yarn and that isn't even half of what I own so far. That container is maybe 1/4 of the yarn I own. I still have like 2 grocery bags stuffed with yarn balls that the above pictured cat knocked off the table and tangled together...
Addy has since come to adore her Martha. I think its funny that she liked Martha better when she was a head with a body and no arms or legs. But oh well. She loves Martha's hair! And she's been sitting here staring at her and investigating Martha.
Now off to shower and start a Little Colin b/c I've been asked to!!

I know I am not Kelly, but Jennie that is seriously cute!! I can't wait to see Little Colin.

I need to learn to crochet, so many knitting patterns I want to do often involve a little crochet too.

Thank you! This is my first BIG project. Usually I stick with coffee cups and cupcakes but when I saw the pattern with Martha I had to try! I'm super surprised that it worked out! I've had major hiccups learning to crochet as I go along. But this has helped out a lot. Amigurumi taught me everything I was doing wrong.

Love Martha. She cracks me up.

They have amigurumi knitting patterns. Don't know where but I've heard of them. Traditional amigurumi is crochet-ed but I've seen adaptable patterns! Thank you!! I really appreciate it!

I want to see the pig! You must!! I am too chicken to try animals!

I started Colin's mini-me! Lordy! That child wanted his L.C. to have pink pants and a camo shirt! His poor father!

Nicole- I could whip one up for the baby and Aubrey! It'd take me a couple weeks but I could have 'em there before the baby was born! I'd probably be uber obsessed and make it my life's mission to work on nothing else. LOL

Little Colin:

ETA- Little Colin went to church today. He took communion too! LOL He made quite the impression. Gotta love Little Colin and Martha.

When the lady heading the prayer shawl ministry saw Little Colin and found out I've been concentrating way too hard on the dolls she said that maybe I should be taken off prayer shawls and do dolls, etc for the children. I said I'd love that more! I'm going to be working on a doll for a little girl in the congregation who has cancer. Working on making it super special!

Nicole- two dolls and a robot are going to be in the works for you! In three weeks! I'll be in touch with you when I need your address via Facebook.
biggrin
I figured I'd throw something in for Austin too! Can't leave him out! They take such little time that I doubt it'll be three weeks before then!
