it is so funny how it is really the small things in a marriage that make such a big difference.  I have been sick and went to the er and came back home with tons of medicine then don and i lay in bed and watched an old sherlock holmes movie together.  nothing was said...but it was so comfortable and warm and i can see it becoming a favorite moment for me heart.gif

do you have any favs lately?

The same for us.  We went to bed early and watched a DVD.  It's so nice just to relax in bed together and forget about bills, etc... during that 2 hours.

This past Friday night we had a hotel for the night and the whole evening was just so nice to be the two of us. To have zero responsibility and reconnect on that level and not the Mom and Dad level.

John has been working crazy hours lately on this big project.  He's been working weekends, and I've been having a hard time with the kids.  On Saturday morning I was SO tired and overwhelmed, was up for 2 hours and hadn't even gotten a chance to eat, and I started crying.  I had to feed Peepers, and she will only nurse while lying down in my bed :(, so I went upstairs with her and cried for a bit while I fed her and then put her down for a nap.  Poor girl.

Anyhoo, when I came back downstairs, John had made me breakfast and told me he was going to stay home and that his work project could wait.  He made me go back to bed after I ate, and let me nap most of the day (except when I had to feed Peepers, because she won't take a bottle).

we had a date night the other night and that was lovely. My mom took the kids for the night and even though all we did was go to supper, it was so nice to just hang out.

the other night, I came home from a church dinner that I was working at (for mike). we sat on the same love seat and I told them all about the crazy church ladies and their antics.

It was nice to just hang out.

Aww, thank you!  I've just been so burned out lately!  Peepers is pretty high maintenance, and Mason is, well, 4.
