Where are we with names? Do you get tired of me asking? Don't answer that, lmao.

Newbies to the pregnancy boards, are you already discussing? Are you finding out the gender?

What's up, buttercups?

biggrin

We still haven't pinned one down but here are a few at the top of our list.  I don't think we'll really settle on a name until after we meet her.  There is one that I find myself calling her a lot but we'll see if that sticks after she's born.

Gabrielle Grace

Abigail Grace

Natalie Grace

Mike is still in love with Sophia but it's just to common around here.  He also loves Madeline  but Maddy is really popular here because of Madison.

Meghan wants to name her Makrissa.  LMFAO.  I have no idea where she got that from and everytime I say "Are you sure you don't mean Melissa?"  She says "No, Makrissa."  She's already trying to ruin her sister's life (no offense to anyone named Makrissa!(well, I guess that probably would have offended you so apologies?)).

Di, I love everything on your list (and Sophia :ducksandrunsforcover)

I'm lmao about Makrissa. Meghan is beyond adorable. I know you guys have been having a bit of difficulty lately, but in no time, Meghan is going to be a protective, assertive, amazing compassionate big sister - I have no doubt about that! I cannot wait to hear stories about the two of them.

love the list, and LMFAO at makrissa.  that's a riot.

maddy is so cute, but also pretty popular around here (i actually think there might be more madelines though, as opposed to madison). sophia is huge too.  and actually i hear a lot of gabby's as well - it's SO cute though.

love all the options!

I love your choices, very pretty.  Is there a family significance for the middle name Grace?  Just curious.

Girl names are hard for me/us.  We've been throwing some names around but nothing that has stuck yet.  I downloaded a free name app and have been going through the list alphabetically saving some of the "favorites."

I think we've decided against doing another K name, though I really like Katelyn or Kaitlyn (Katie for short).  We've also decided against using P and T because of the initials, and possibly C depending on the name because everyone will ask why we didn't just use K for the spelling instead.  lol

We want something somewhat simple....Kyle, Kevin and ??

I like Paige or Danica for middle names.

Thanks ladies!

And Jolynn... Grace was my grandmother's name.  She passed away this year so we'd like to use the name in memory of her.

And Jolynn, I love your names too! I couldn't pull off Danica, but I could definately see your little girl looking like a Danica or a Paige!!! eta that I know you meant it as a mn but mn's get used a LOT in my family, lmao. I love Kaitlyn.  It's a great classic.

Although you don't want another K, I'm in love with Kathryn.   Simple.  Not out there.  Although my other favorites for a girl are Briar and Harper.

You know I love this one!!!

I really like Paige as a middle name too.  I have no good ideas for first names though!

LOL!!!  I don't understand why you don't want Makrissa, lmao!!

ITU about Maddy-that one is SO SO popular around here too.  Sophia isn't quite as big here, but I definitely understand not wanting the most popular names!

I love all of those choices!!!

Those are great choices!!!  I'll be interested to see which stay on the list once you discuss it with John and which end up being tossed out of the running.

Di, I like the names you listed, but Natalie is my favorite.  I also like the way it sounds with Meghan.

Sara, those are great names.  It will be interesting to see if any of them make it to the end.

Jolynn, I am going to throw my two cents in for names too.  I could see you having a Lauren, Lilah, Grace, Elise, or a Samantha.

Of course I still love Vivian, but not everyone likes it as much as me. lmao.gif

i like vivian a ton.

i am way into stella right now as well.

sara - GREAT names. love love love.

jo, i like katelyn for you (or whatever spelling works for you) - my niece is caitlin. the name has really grown with her.  i also love catherine (or any other spelling) for you - then you could use katie still.

do you have anyone to name her after? are you into older names? biblical? longer? shorter?

I like Lauren and Samantha.  Dom said a name that could be shortened to a more masculine name would be cool (guess he's still wishing for a boy, lol)...Sam, Alex, etc

the thing about katelyn/katie is Dom has a niece here in town with that name, but she has a different last name so I guess it would be okay.  we tend to stay away from same names as other family members, unless we're naming after someone specific.

the boys' middle names are those of their grandfathers (jay and daniel).  it would be nice to do something similar, but my brother already used my mom's name, and I don't really like my mil's names (Geraldine/Geri Velma)

my middle name is Elsie after both my maternal and paternal grandmothers

not really into older names, but wouldn't rule them out.  biblical, no.  longer, no.  would prefer shorter, but again wouldn't rule them out.

lmao. sounds like there is a possibility of a board full of baby sophias!

if it is a boy we are naming him jamison.

if it is a girl we were 100% set on ellerie (thanks for the idea other corey/cori;) buuuttt....my husband's cousin just had a baby girl and named her elledy and i just don't think i can have a rhyming name. the only other name we have agreed on is --you guessed it....sophia! biggrin

i really like molly too, but we had a dog named molly that died and dave can't get over the weirdness of naming a child the same as our deceased pet.
