I finally went to the allergist today and I was sent home with a bag of drugs.
I am now on flovent (inhaler 2X daily), a steroid inhaler (2 X day), Predisone for 5 days and a rescue inhaler when needed.
I go back next week for a complete skin allergy test.
I feel like I am constantly coming up with things. I guess I now have allergy induced asthma. So, this cough I am trying to treat is not treatable with cough medicine, lol. It explains the constant tightness in my chest now.
Melissa you will be amazed at how much these will help. I have taken all of those things you mentioned and still occasionally take all of them but the predisone (it gives me high blood pressure). It's not fun but once you start breathing better you will get much better rest and not feel nearly as drained. I imagine by now your back is not feeling so swift either.
I developed my allergies when I was about 19, but my dh seems to be in the same boat as you. He apparently just developed them too and he is 38. In fact, it sounds quite similar to your situation.
I hope this does the trick and you find you have a speedy recovery.
I was wondering how your appt went! I am so glad you finally went in. Clearly you needed a change in medications. I really hope this stuff helps and you are breathing easier and feeling much better soon.
