Anybody else loving this age?

I know it can be frustrating at times but I am really adoring Gavin right now. I love all the things he is doing and learning and he is just the sweetest little boy. He has blossomed so much this year and I am such a proud mommy!

I love spending time with him and playing games with him. We watch movies together, play different things, and draw together. He is such a good little artist and I love seeing what he comes up with. I am enjoying this so much - anybody else?

But um, no, LOL.  The incessant questions and Why Why Why all day long...he's driving me insane!  I love him to pieces, but a little quiet would be nice.  ;)

Well, to be fair, I am not a SAHM so I do get a break and I'm sure that helps out a lot with how I'm feeling. :D

Nope, she does get on my nerves sometimes eventhough I love her to pieces!  I can't wait till my mom takes her overnight this friday =)  ha ha but really yes I love this age at times especially seeing her develop before our own eyes.  She is so dang smart.  A very thoughtful and well mannered child when it comes to "thank you" "please" "excuse me" that kind of stuff.... no matter what she says it anyways.  She knows to respect her elders.  I love that she will listen to us especially when we are out in public.  But otherwise..... she can have her days where she WANTS to push my buttons and I am just about done with her for the day!!! And soooo excited for bedtime! LOL

lol. I actually agree with both Jen and Alison. I love this age because of how far he's come. He's like this real person that I can hang out with and we have a blast together.

I dislike this age because seriously just SHUT UP SOMETIMES!!!! It's non-stop. I can't imagine if I was a SAHM. I've started to realize just how damn annoying I am because I'm constantly asking people questions too. ;)

i literally have to cut my kids off or i go insane. C talks just as much as R. they shout over each other.  they NEVER STOP.  at least once a day i have to say "mommy needs 10 minutes where no one is talking to her.  go upstairs and talk to each other but if you talk to me, i cant answer until the clock says.." (whatever 5-10 min is).

besides that, i'm LOVING THIS AGE.  she's just coming so far so quickly.  we play like real card games (well, old maid and go fish), and i love watching her draw and write - plus the conversations are getting to be really so much more mature. i looooove it.  it really is getting better and better, and i never thought that would be possible!

This is my favorite age. It was with Stephen also. Raven is so much fun. All the singing and dancing. Everything is enjoyed to the fullest.

Fantastic age! Mark is so thoughtful, helpful, and loving. And it's so much fun to watch him play with friends his age.

I actually love this age. Sure she gets yappy at times, but overall she is so fun now. I love to watch her learning development unfold. Right now at this age she is bursting with new skills in reading and writing. It is so fun to watch and she is so proud of herself.

For me 3 was hell.

you know, we're getting there. mikey is making strides but for the most part he's more like a 2.5 or 3 year old developmentally. and he's so amazingly loud. he talks loud, plays loud, laughs loud, cries loud ... he's just so loud!

It depends the day around here. I think each age has great perks though.

Sometimes I put my ipod on and when Ethan tries to talk to me, I'm like I can't hear you. Mommy is going to listen to music while she cleans so play by yourself until I'm done. (bag over head)

I've also raised the volume on the radio in the car in the am. I'm not a morning person so Ethan quizzing me on why there is frost and when will it be spring and can we go swimming this summer and whatever else is on his mind is sometimes a little too much for our drive to daycare.

I ADORE Anna at this age. She is so so fun-she says the funniest things, and you can really engage her in conversation. And she has such a great imagination!!!! I rarely find myself getting too irritated with her-she is just such a fun little girl to be around. I am desperate to slow things down and keep her this age, but it isn't working out, lol.

I think it is very kid specific though. I mean, aside from being a complete boss and a hyper nut sometimes, Anna is a really well behaved and fairly reasonable child. But I can tell you that it is HIGHLY doubtful I am going to be saying I adore Kate at the same age. I haven't felt that way about Kate's behavior since she was 2 (she was an angel then-for about 4-5 months anyway-since then, yikes). Don't get me wrong, she has some amazingly wonderful qualities and I love her more than life, but she is hard to deal with. Maybe she will turn a corner, IDK. But I kinda doubt it.

But as far as Anna is concerned? AWESOME age.

ITA though about the noise. This is why my kids still go to their rooms for naptime. Anna doesn't sleep, but she will play quietly. Kate naps sometimes-not as much anymore-but she is not terribly quiet when she doesn't sleep. IDC though-I physically can not listen to them all day. We all benefit from the down time. (they know there are consequences to not staying in their rooms during rest time-I take things away from them when they make bad choices-it is pretty routine at this point) My mom did the same thing when my brother and I were kids-even when I was in K (which was half day), I had to have rest time everyday.

I am loving this age. I keep waiting for Natalie to turn into a daddy's girl but it hasn't happened. And at this age, she is really my little sweetie. When I am home, she is at my side, but in a very unobtrusive way, more like just hanging out, kwim? And now we are starting to have great conversations. It is also so fun to watch her personality develop. I wish I could bottle up this time with her.

I really do love this age too.  Lauren loves to learn new things and it's great to see how much interest that she takes in things.  She loves painting, drawing and all types of art and really is quite good at it.  She and Anna have become like best friends and watching them laugh and play is so rewarding for me as their mom.

She does have her days but truthfully a lot of times it has to do with my tolerance level and where I am at mentally that day and if she is overtired.

we should really figure out how far apart we live.
i feel like natalie and rachel would get along well.
i could have written this exact post.
rachel is sooo not a daddy's girl (CARA is the one - oof. those two are inseparable).  but R is just at my side all the time. :heart

the bag over head is totally unnecessary - i often feel the same way, and i've raised the volume as well.
the best is when i'm like "ok mommy's had enough talking for right now" and she's like "how do you know when you've had enough? what does 'enough' mean? do you remember when i was 2 and you said you had enough of the backyardigans? why did you have enough of that? remember when you said they werent on tv anymore, but then i saw a commercial?"
talks about :bag!!

ROFLMAO.

Omg, that is HANNAH.

I am really loving this age though, times when she's fiercely opinionated and stubborn aside. It's like having a conversation with a tiny adult. She's got my fire, and Joe's dry wit and it makes for a crazy combination, but I adore it.

But she's seriously chatty - most of the time I love it, but a few times a day (like last night when she got up to potty, and then talked to me for 2 hours, while I literally had one eye open) I could use the quiet, lol.
