new wall hangings

i'm so happy with these -i've been looking for something since we started the kitchen project bc what we had were WAY TOO SMALL!!! (and uncolorful).  i have been totally unable to find something i liked. everything is so freakin FLORAL all the time.  i like floral, but i'm picky.

anyway i adore pots and i think the colors are good for the space. i actually got them at bed bath & beyond for only $30 each.
i got something there for my staircase as well - a spot that's been blank for 7 yrs now.
AND something for over my couch in the LR.
BB&B is really hit or miss for me, but i was psyched with their current selection.

now i'm looking for teeny tiny stuff for my soffit (sp?) space.  i'm researching how to transfer photos to tile or wood blocks, which might be cool.  i have so many photos and am not sure what to do with them, so this might work out. will keep you posted :)

i just ordered a bunch of photos of the girls too (8x10s) and am trying to decide what to do with them.  i swear i get so preoccupied by wallhangings!!

thanks guys. it's SUCH a small space, it's not even funny. and it's also our only dining space in the whole house, AND the entry.  huge pain in the butt.
this house layout leaves a LOT to be desired, but i love this house and i love figuring out how to make it better all the time :)

I love it, Kelly! I really like how it blends in with the other colors, but it still makes an impact! what is the smaller space you are talking about?

no, this is the smaller space. its our only dining area. it's TEENY.  huge drawback of the house.

thanks for the compliment - i'm really happy with them - youre exactly right, i didnt want a huge impact bc the space is so small, but i needed SOMETHING.

I think those look fantastic!  I actually think they are perfect for that area because it ties into the furniture tones and doesn't compete with the theme of the room.  Great find!

update: didnt want to start a whole new thread...but in case you check this, we got these new chairs this weekend - i'm SO happy with them - they're super sturdy and i love how they match with the cupboard along the right wall.
we're still in the market for a new table but it's not an emergency. the next big task will be to pull up those tiles.  we're thinking spring/summer, and we're doing wide-plank hardwoods.
still looking for the right thing for the kitchen door (curtain), and still figuring out the soffit space.  coming along!! it's been almost a year now!!

It looks great Kelly.  My problem is that I have picked up too many wall hangings while living in different parts of the world and I have a hard time figuring out where to hang them...
