I signed up to get emails about the "Give a Day, Get a Day" Disney promotion. At first I was disappointed in the list of opportunities because all of them were ushering at a theatre--not much "giving" imo.

The email said that the volunteer opportunities would change so I checked it again today, and they did have more options. The promotion is for ages 5 (or 6?) and up so I was looking for something Henry could do.

Today there was an option of a charity walk at the zoo. The volunteer opportunity was being a team leader, which involved recruiting 8 team members (one of whom could be Henry). There was no mention of $$ so I had to do some research but I finally found where each team member had to raise/pay $150. I'll have to think about that one some more. The minimum volunteer age for that was 6.

So I was glad to see that there will be more and hopefully better, more appropriate opportunities. I'll keep checking.

Is anyone else looking into doing this promotion? What are some options near you?
