Bed Time

I know we have done this before, but life changes.I am just wondering what time everyone goes to bed.

I have such a hard time getting to bed early.

What is your bed time? Do you have a routine for you after the kids are in bed?

I always try to get to bed early because I'm TIRED but if I'm honest with myself, I know that I'll be turning off my light to go to sleep at 11 or later.

I cannot stop myself from watching "Criminal Minds" at 10pm so I try to turn off the TV when it ends but then I'll turn to CBS to watch the end of David Letterman.

I never stay up past David Letterman so 11:30 at the LATEST.

I don't have an after-kids routine (except telling Henry to go back to bed over and over and over again).

I am such a night person that it's very hard to get to bed before midnight. Mark has to be up at 5am so he's usually in bed by 9:30.

I can be exhausted, but I always get a second wind around 9 so I'm bright eyed until I force myself to bed. Oh how I miss the days of sleeping in. Morning is not my friend.

After the kids are in bed we usually watch tv until Mark goes to bed. Then I watch my show(s) and then get my computer work done. I usually mean to be in bed by 11, but that rarely happens.

Before being pregnant this time I was in bed between 10 and 11.

Now, I usually nap daily if I get the chance and am in bed around 9, 9:30 at the latest.

I am just like Stacey. Night owl to the core. Always have been, since I was a wee child, according to my mother.

I aim for 11, but it is rarely before midnight. On weekends sometimes it will be 1 or 2am. It is a very bad habit, and I need to get it under control because my body needs more sleep to heal right now, and I think if I got more sleep in general, I wouldn't have as many issues with my UC on the whole for a variety of reasons.

Kids bedtime is 8pm, give or take depending on how tired they are. I try to get things done like making Bill's lunch, setting his coffee, getting the girls' clothes laid out-done before they go to bed, while Bill is playing with them, but if I haven't done those things, that is my first order of business when they go down. Then I generally take a shower, get online for a bit or watch a show or a movie, hang out with Bill, get ready for bed.

IHNI why I can't get to bed earlier. It seems like I look and one minute it is 10pm and the next it is going on 1am.

I should go to bed by 10:30 but, being the night owl I am, I rarely am in bed until 11:30 or midnight. I need more sleep than I get but I just can't seem to make my body and mind shut off until that late. Also, I hate giving up the only quiet time of the day.

My younger kids have a bedtime of 8:30. Rebecca is allowed to stay up until 9 Sat.-Thurs. nights and she can stay up to watch a movie or until 11ish on Friday nights. Sometimes she'll go to bed with everyone else, but mostly she'll stay up. She's a night owl like me and doesn't "have" to get up in the morning like I do, although she's usually up before me.

I am typically in bed between 11pm and midnight.  Travis's office is in our bedroom (the ONLY place for it) and he is up super late doing homework.  i have a hard time going to bed while he is awake.

I'm up between 5:30-7:30 depending on the boys.  I have only set my alarm clock once in three years , lol :)

Geesh, not a lot of sleep now that I look at it!

ETA- kids bedtime is 7pm in the winter, 8:30 or even later in the summer.  With it being dark by 4pm here, 7 is plenty late.  They are actually already asleep tonight and it is only 6:30!

I'm WAY more of a morning person than a night owl, and some nights I want to be in bed by 9 (I'm not, but I want to be).

My kids have a very strict 8:30 bedtime, and I might watch TV to decompress for an hour or so, then I'm off to bed.

I'm super lame to hang out with socially, that's for sure!

10pm. Stephen goes to bed at 10 so that is usually when I go to bed. If I had my way I would go to bed when Raven does(8pm).LOL. I spend my time helping/checking on Stephen's homework, watching tv, cleaning or whatever needs to be done.

I head to bed anytime after 9 but I really hardly ever turn the light (or my ipod if I'm reading on there) until 11. I absolutely love reading before bed but my eyes shut off at 11 whether I want them to or not so I try to get into bed before 11.

This is my biggest problem  - going to bed!  My new years resolution is to get more sleep so I am trying.  Before Jan 1 I was going to bed around 3am but now I am finally crawling in around 1:30.  My goal is midnight.  I am working on it.

I have no routine - just whateve I want since it is "my" time.

I TRY to go to bed between 10-11...after I watch the weather on the local new--because I'm getting old and that's what old people do LOL

Most night, though, I end up layingin bed for a couple hours unable to sleep bc my brain won't shut down....then i'm up by 545am.

I am a night owl. DH goes to bed between 8-9PM because he has to be at work at 6AM. I rarely go to bed before midnight. I try to not stay up past 1 but honestly sometimes I'm up until 2. I get up at 7:30 to start getting Luc ready for school. Coffee is my friend.

The nights I do go to be early I end up waking up at like 4am wide awake

Most of the time I am in bed around 10 on work nights. I really can't stay awake much after that after being at work all day. I am so drained by that time. When I am off during vacation some nights I will be up until 12 but not much after.

i am often asleep by 9:00. i do think some of that is my meds though.

We're bff's because we are both lame after 8, lol? Remember when we went to a comedy club with our hubbies- that kept us out well past our 9 pm bedtimes!

We should totally try to meet up in that area; it's not quite middle, but not undoable.

Sorry for the threadjack smile
