My friend's daugher, Kendall, is 2 weeks older than Kaylin. She was born with a rare heart disorder; essentially she doesn't have a pulmonary artery. Today she has her 4th open heart surgery to replace the last artery they gave her.
It will take 2 hours to set all her lines and IV's. Another 2-3 to even open her chest because of all the scar tissue, and another 2-3 for the surgery. When she comes out of surgery, she will be on full life support.
Please pray for Kendall, her family, and the doctors. Kendall has historically given everyone some not so great surprises during surgery, so let's all pray for no surprises!!

Kendall is off bypass! Her parents will be able to see her in about an hour. We don't know how long she'll be on the ventilator. She has lung gunk issues too which don't help. I know how much they appreciate your thoughts and prayers!!

Thanks for your prayers everyone. It seems Kendall needs some more. She is recovering wonderfully from her heart surgery, but now her lungs are filling with gunk. Her Mom said she's been coughing stuff up all day which subsequently makes her throw up.
The doctors can't figure out what is wrong. They've run every test imaginable. They say she has the lungs of a CF patient, but tests negative. She also has an immune disorder, but they don't know if it contributes.
Please pray that Kendall gets better and the doctors can find some answers. She has been through so much, but is such a fighter. Thank goodness for her spunk!!
Ugh, it seems so wrong a little girl fights through the one surgery to have to overcome something else :( She and the family are in my thoughts and prayers.
