P90x?

Anybody doing this? Tried it? My sister in law just finished the 90 days recently and I think she is still doing it. She has had great success with it.

I feel like I can't incorporate a 30 minute exercise routine into my day let alone 60-90 minute one. But I want to be able to.

I'd love any advice, input on it. :)

I've always been tempted, but feel like I don't currently have the room for a chin up bar, etc.

Maybe when we havea house though!

It is a killer workout! My brother has been doing it for a few weeks. DH tried it but couldn't find the time to keep it up. They really are great workouts, maybe not for someone who has never worked out. I've done them a few times, but I do better at the gym where my kids can't bug me!

If you can find the time to do them they will work! The longest is the yoga which is close to an hour and a half. They also would like you to do them 7 days a week. You can skip the stretch day though.

Kent did this for awhile earlier in 09. Kicked his butt. He liked it. It was hardcore.

I had a good friend at work do it and the food really got to him. It was a lot of prep and some days he had to eat a lot (mostly stuff he didn't like).

The exercise was hard and he liked it a lot but I think he only stuck with the whole thing for 2 or 3 weeks.

He had much better success with weight watchers.

Sonya - I am only doing the exercise part of it - not the food. We are going to try eating healthy and having better meals - including more veggies and fruit.

I am worried about being able to stick with it but I keep telling myself it is *only* 90 days. So, we will see.

about finding the time to excersize, I know K loves doing Jillian michaels thirty day shred with me and its only 20 minutes. Raym has also started his own version of some excersizes when its on. Maybe something short you could get the boys to enjoy doing with you to incorporate excersize with them too.

Sometimes that works for me, sometimes it doesn't. Gavin loves doing the exercises with me and is actually quite good. Owen, for some reason, always wants to sit with me or have me hold him when I'm doing it!

I keep going back and forth. I have the JM DVD and love it but can't manage to do the 30 minutes, so how am I going to do this??? But, for some reason, I really want to do this just to see if I can. IDK what I am going to do.

The P90X is a very hardcore workout, from what I have been told. It is the second in a series and is for people who are already in excellent shape, but want to trim down further. For people who are just starting out, or who are not in as good of shape, the Power 90 series is the kind of first step they have.

I have the Power 90 (and assuming they copy, I would be happy to copy them for you-and I have some of the advanced ones as well, but not p90x), and I really like it. For me, since I was just starting out, it was hard, but doable-I could work up to it and it was a great workout for me. I saw results right away. I started flaring, so I stopped doing it (or any other exercise), but I would like to get back to it as some point.

I have heard good things about the P90X from the people I know who have used it, but from what everyone says it is intense and not for beginners. So I think it depends on what your fitness level is and how much you want to push yourself. Since you have access to the DVDs, it doesn't hurt to try it!

ETA-the "x" in the P90X is for extreme-so it is the extreme version of the Power 90.

John has been doing this for the last week. His work has the program at the gym. He is wanting to get the stuff for here if we can get it at a good price so he can keep up with it and do things here.
