just wondering what deals you're doing (if any) for the cat deal this week with the bonus box tops?

i went tonight and bought 9 boxes cereal, 2 hamburger helpers (fillers, i will donate them), 2 just for one veggies, 4 fiber one muffins (please let the kids like them since they're banana), 2 bisquicks and spent $17.50.  i rolled a $10 cat and have another $10 cat in my pocket, plus i got the 4 sets of 50 bonus box tops.

i just can't figure out the extra special deals.

i'm trying to focus on the nut clusters and fruit snacks since they double dip, but there's also a $3.50 cat on them at my other grocery store and the price on them there is 4/$5 (although the cat goes on sale price there and not shelf).

any input?

i'm skipping it. i don't give a hoot about the box tops and $5 isn't enough to lure me in.

we do have kids toothbrushes on sale for $1.00 and i have coupons that will make them free and v8 fusion is 2.50 and i have a bunch of .75/1 q's so doubled $1/bottle and we love the stuff. also perdue turkey meatballs are on sale and i have q's that will make them .99/bag if i remember correctly, so i will probably just get those 3 things and my milk/veggies/etc this week.

none of the deals as of late have got me salivating;)  so i have taken about a month off and just tried to dwindle down what i have.

oh man you are good!

i'm using the fruit snacks for our boat outings next year (i might be done at 20ish boxes).

i'm also stocking up on all the yogurt.  lets just hope that all the fiber doesn't kill me.

have you bought those meatballs before?  i stocked up on them the last time they were on sale for under $1 and i have to say that while the kids (especially emily) like them, matt and i do not.  they are too chewy.  jic you haven't had them.  i donated most of ours to my adopted family.

we haven't tried them, but i am planning on using them as a kid's dinner on nights we make stuff that they won't eat like chili or salad.

Just seeing this...I did the granola nut clusters (allyson loves those), the muffins (again allyson loves those), yogurt, had bisquick already from the first one.. did the deal a few times over the week. Earned quite a few BTFE for Sarah's school!

This week I am doing the quaker quakes and using the overage (the kids love these), wise chips, rice works, but that's about it.

Trying to learn cvs...don't like the people on the sd web siite on the cvs threads...I find them to be fresh and condescending. I am struggling with it, though, because I don't feel right about using that $5/20 printed Q...and it seems as if that's how people get the good deals. Do have some ECB, though, so I will be getting pepsi there this week.

interesting.

i try to be "to the t" with my couponing, but i have no issue with using the $5/20 Q.  i think that if CVS is going to make it available online, they KNOW that people are going to be printing it and using it all over the country in this day and age.

i MAYBE spent $15 at CVS before i started couponing.  now i'm there several times per week.  even if i'm using tons of coupons and ECBs, they're still getting money from me that they wouldn't otherwise be getting.

:dunno:
