Furniture Store question

I'm looking for a cheapish bedroom set for my bedroom so I've been checking out craigslist. I found this ad so I called the number.

The person answered "hello" - long story short, according to the guy they are a "design company" with a furniture warehouse but they don't staff it full time because they don't want to pay someone to sit there all day. So we made an appointment to go look at the furniture at 2:00 today.

Something about this whole thing is weird to me. Am I being paranoid?

Thoughts on this?

Also, I see signs all the time (on the road, stuck in the ground) about factory sealed new mattress sets for super cheap and am always wondering what the deal is.

I would definitely take Dan with you, but maybe you could go and see how you feel, what kind of vibe you get? Sounds a little shady but you never know, could be on the up and up and you could get a good deal. Let us know what happens.

bah!

i just typed a big response and my computer ate it.

long story short - i brought dan and we ended up buying from the guy. his wife is an interior designer so this is purchased through her connections, etc.. at a fat discount. he advertises on craigslist because it's free and he stores in a warehouse to keep prices down.

(if it fell off a truck i don't want to know :x: )
