spent 40 min on the monitor- baby doing great! gained 1.5 pounds the past 2 weeks (christmas cookies anyone? lol) so that makes nearly 14 lbs in all.
but the babys head is really really low - she wants me to rest as much as possible for the next 3 week till i hit 38 weeks. i said "sorry, but resting is not on my schedule to start till Sunday afternoon the 27th" LOL)
i asked "are you saying "bedrest"? " and her reply is "not unless you make me say it, i expect you to be reasonable and rest and slow down"
i am not so surprised - my osteopath has said that i carry very "vertically" so though my tummy is not popped out a lot (i think i have some power abs lol), the head is down low and the butt is up high under my ribs causing some breathing and diaphragm problems. - and as it grows i guess it is pushing downwards. the past days i get groin cramps which is also a sign of things real low down there.
I'm guessing 3.5 more weeks for you! Take a break when you feel you need to and enjoy the holidays - and girl I can't wait to find out what you are having and what you name you pick out!!!!!
Hope you have a very merry Christmas and that you are able to rest as much as possible. You have to be able to have SOME downtime before your new little one gets here. : )
It sounds like things are not so comfortable, and it is so hard not to be busy this time of year. I hope you are able to find that happy medium and get some rest while baby stays growing there for a few more weeks. Take care of both of you and keep us updated!

oh dont get me started on names *sigh*
bert and i are totally avoiding the inevitable disagreements. i will get around to it in january. we know the middle name will be wither elizabeth or dimitri as those are the godparents names and that is a tradition.
i did buy one newborn jammie - petit bateau - all white :eyeroll
other then that i have done absolutely nothing! amazing as i am such a planner.
You are sooo close, and I'm so excited to meet the newest member of your family -- but I would like to wait a couple more weeks. I know you'll do what you can, and my thoughts are with you since "take it easy" + "holidays" don't mix all that well!
