I was just curious/wondering if any of you use sprinkles/colored sugar/etc or anything to decorate your spritz cookies and if you do, do you put them on before or after baking?
What about other cookies you put sprinkle type decorations on? Just curious because sometimes my decorations don't seem to stick.
i put them on spritz and sugar cookies before baking.
you do need to sprinkle them pretty quickly -while the dough is still real fresh. example- when i do a tray of spritz, i stop halfway - like after one minute - to sugar them before i finish the rest of they tray.
i also sugar cookies just after icing them- with buttercream or royal icing. again, you cant let the icing harden or it wont stick.
