It isn't "official" (meaning I don't have my diploma) but I checked my final grades for the semester and ended the term with a B+ and an A-. So glad to be done!!
(on a related note, am I being a baby to be sad that no one in my family has made a congratulations or even acted like it is a big deal?....I wish I wasn't so sensitive, but I knew heading into my final semester that I would be sad my mom and dad were not here to share it...and a main reason why I chose not to participate in the graduation ceremony in May - I honestly didn't know anyone (other than Don who has to be there for work anyway) who would come.
Congratulations!!! I'm sorry your family isn't acting proud but I'm sure they are. What a great accomplishment!
I kind of think you should go to the ceremony if you can. Mike wasn't going to go to his phd ceremony and was very happy he did in the end. I think you should celebrate it even if by yourself. It's a wonderful achievement!
Congratulations, Liz. That is such a wonderful accomplishment and you should be so proud of yourself. Go out and treat yourself to something special. You deserve it!!
Awesome Liz! Congratulations. Good for you for sticking it out and finishing it up! I would be bummed about the family situation too, it's a big deal. Hugs.
Thanks everyone! So, Don surprised me with a new phone - (I wanted an Iphone) but he got me a Htc touch screen and it is really nice! I am in love with it...I just have to figure it out ;)
CONGRATULATIONS, Liz!!!! And I have to agree with Sonya-I would go ahead and go to the ceremony!! I wasn't going to go to my graduate one either, but in the end, I was really glad I did-I worked my tail off for that degree!!!! You have worked hard-you should go to be celebrated, even if you and Don are the only ones there!
