I've been seeing a lot of great reviews on Facebook from other friends, so I'm happy to see another good review to add to the list! Hannah and I are going to see in on Thursday, I think, and I'm really excited about it.

Allie has never been to the movies so I am taking her and her friend on Sat. I hope she likes it.

I loved it, thought it was super well done and sweet. I totally cried at the end. It was super sweet and touching.

Two things I thought parents should be "aware" of - At least one of these is a spoiler, so beware...

1) the "bad guy" (think Ursula from the little mermaid, Scar from the Lion King, etc) is this creepy voodoo guy. The masks and skulls and shadows were pretty creepy and I worried about it scaring K. Shee seemed alright, but, I was nervous while he was on cause it kinda creeped me out! (And he sings about his "friends from the other side" and K kept asking me what he meant and who these friends were. lol.)

2) There were at least two deaths referred to and/or part of the plot. One was her dad. They didnt dwell on it, it was in passing. K and I have already discussed what that means, since my dad is gone. So, that one didn't bother her much. But, the other one is one of the sidekicks and they even have a funeral for him. So, that was a little bit hard. What happened? is he okay? etc.

I remember reading Dorian's review of Up. So, when they showed the GRandma in the hospital, I was like, "who wants skittles?" and the people around us all giggled cause they knew exactly what I was doing to distract K. I tend to talk to K throughout the movie, so we weathered these parts just fine and dont get me wrong this was a great movie! But, just wanted to give ya'll a heads up to have the candy ready if you need to turn a frown upside down. lol.

I just want to add that if your kids scare easily, there are these black spirits from the other side that reminded me of cartoon versions of the creepy black evil spirit thingies that would come and take you away in the movie Ghost when you die and are going to hell.

None of it bothered Sarah but I know that some of the kids on here are more easily frightened and I thought they were pretty creepy.

I took Allie to see this last week. It was her first movie at the theater. She loved it. Honestly none of it even scared her. I do not think she even made a connection with the Dad dying and she never mentioned or seemed scared with the spirits. I thought she would since normally stuff scares her, but she seems much better now with fake stuff.

We saw it today and Ethan reacted the same way.

I absolutely loved it. I think she may be my favorite "princess" yet. And I totally bawled over their friend, teared up at the ending, tapped my feet along with the music. Definitely a must see.

Ditto, ditto, ditto.  Natalie loved it and wasn't scared at all.  One of my favorite Disney movies ever.
