so tonight when i checked out at the grocery store for one transaction, i had 4 boxes of cereal and a loaf of bread.  after she scanned my Qs and my oyno Q, my total was 4 cents.

4 cents!

lmfao!

the look on her face was priceless!

so i thought it would be fun to share the lowest OOP total we've had so far and whether or not you got a reaction from your cashier or other shoppers in line.

I really wish you could come here and walk me through it. I keep trying to organize it all and I just cannot make these things work for me. I like to think I am not slow.

That is awesome. Gosh, I cannot imagine walking out and only paying .4.

melissa, i think alot depends your stores as well.

i have tried to make it work and i just do not have the stores here. i have a schnuck's whcih is raved about on afullcup.com but our schnuck's does not double coupons. no where around here does.

i do have a cvs and when a good deal comes up there on stuff i use i will take advantage of it.

I think my problem is I dont just get the deals I also have all the other stuff I need in the order too. Im hoping my lowest oop will be when my special order comes in that I have a ton of overage coupons for that will get me the whole case of razors and 70 dollars worth of groceries free.

yeah, I have Kroger and I read the afullcup, but never find these crazy deals that I hear others getting.

I have been watching CVS and am going to hit it up for some razors, dish soap and a few other things. I do not see walking out of any store paying .04 in my future, lol.

yep. the coupon doubling really is what makes these kinds of deals - at least i think so. we don't have any stores that double coupons either.

i've pretty much switched to getting almost all my food from aldi because of this.

yeah i ttoally havent delved into this scene yet and i feel like i want to, but i just dont see it working for me.
i shop at trader joes and this local supermarket.  they have deals, but i barely buy anything in there anyway.  the quality is crap there so it's just if i need something in a pinch (it's very conveniently located).

i get stuff at CVS and could use some help in that department, but when i look at coupons, it's never for stuff i use.

i only spend $125 a week on groceries...but i do spend a lot more at cvs than i probably need to.

april - 4 cents - AMAZING.  so amazing. good for you.

wow, you are good with groceries. I shop at Trader Joe and then Kroger. I do find that CVS you can get some things on sale and then with manufacture coupons for next to nothings.

OOP is out of pocket

not sure about oyno, thinking something to do with that stores rewards or coupons.

LMAO, April at 4 cents. I have to say, what a RUSH is is when you know you are getting a killer deal!!!

When I cashed out yesterday at Target I got a pretty good reaction from the cashier.

1 box of Cheez Its
4 bags of fudge Shoppe Cookies
1 Motts Apple Juice
1 Swiss Miss Hot Cocoa 10 pack

Out of Pocket $3.14 plus a free $5 gift card, so I made money on this deal smile.gif

He looked at me and said "You saved $15 AND got a $5 gift card

Seriously, guys, there are Targets everywhere. On their website they have a coupon for $1 on swiss, and with the price drop to .97, it's free. Same goes for the Motts Apple Juice. It's not free, but .89 for apple juice is pretty good.

Honestly, it IS more work to shop like this, but the money savings are amazing. DH cannot believe what I walked in with from Target yesterday and what I spent...the trip above was my second trip in.
