I'll keep my eye out, but I haven't seen anything on the cheaper side. Can he wear a t-shirt or does it have to be a jersey?

strange suggestion, but have you tried kohls?

ours has a whole section in the boys area devoted to sports jerseys...

I haven't but that's exactly what I'm looking for.

I thought that maybe Walmart or some other store would sell sports stuff but I've only checked target.

Definitely try Kohls. They had a ton of tshirts (not sure if it's just in NY that they stock them).

at kohl's they generally stock sports teams that are in your area. for instance as far as baseball teams mine usually carries st. louis cardinals and chicago cubs.

but you should be able to access all teams online.
