just wondering - what do you guys use?
i am done with plastics.  i just got my new set of glass storage containers from crate and barrel in the mail, and i'm so excited. i'm excited to be able to put them in the dishwasher, and i like that you can see through them so much more easily.
i also love that they all match 100% and i dont have a thousand random lids everywhere.
VERY excited.
i just put my zucchini in one of them and feel like reorganizing my whole fridge now :dork

so what do you guys use?

I do have some glass, but still have plastic for on the go. I am wanting to get all new dishes and kitchen stuff right now. I am so sick of everything. I do not ever put plastic in the micro, so I really should switch to all glass.

yeah i never put it in the micro though, but then i started reading that the dishwasher is bad for plastic too - so here i was washing ALL my tupperware/plastic containers, as well as the kids' dishes, by hand, and i'm thinking "why have a dishwasher at this point" -- i was never running it bc all my regular items were getting hand washed, and then i kept running out of clean silverware and glasses - UG so annoying.

so now everything's glass, everything is treated the same (except the kids' dishes) - but i'm in the process of switching them over to our regular dishes anyway.

Crap, I have been putting them all in the dishwasher. Allie pretty much eats on our dishes, but now I have all of Mia's stuff.

I mean she is on plastic sippy cups and that? Those cannot go in dishwasher either?

we have some of each...i prefer glass, but dave brings leftovers for lunch and glass+cooler+clumsy husband=broken glass, so for now we have tupperware too.

i put it all in the micro and dishwasher. everything i have says micro/dishwasher safe on it.

i've heard they can go in the top rack only (same with plastic tupperware) - but i dont like the whole idea so i wash them by hand.  i am going to start replacing cara's sippies more frequently too. i dont like the whole thing with the plastic.  i'm on the hunt for stainless steel sippycups...keep your eyes open (i dont mean sports tops, i mean the traditional sippy top).
