how are you guys doing?
i ordered my cards today (alicia, i ended up going with a different pic altogether!!), plus a bunch of pics to have framed for grandparents, etc.
i am still waiting for a bunch of stuff to come in the mail (like my mom's gift, FIL's gift, one more thing for R, and some other random things).

i still have to get a gift for each of my sisters and two aunts (NO IDEAS!!), plus a bunch of frames (anyone see any inexpensive 5x7 frames out there? i need like 6).

the kids are done unless i see something between now and then - but for the most part they're done.  i plan to wrap all their stuff this week.
everything i have to ship out is wrapped and ready to go.  the only person i have NO CLUE what to get is  mike.  so hard.

i have some baking to do and i'm in charge of organizing the chip-in gift for R's teachers, so i have some collecting to do for that.  i also have to hit the liquor store for my BsIL.

soooo much to do, but i'm glad that i'm basically done shopping.  are you guys making any progress?

I'm pretty much done shopping. I'll continue buying anything that's a super steal on Amazon for Hannah or Joe, because that's how I am, lol.

We just got our secret cousin gifts on Thanksgiving, so I need to pick up those (but I know what I'm getting) and I still need to pick up Hannah's Santa gift because I'm having trouble pulling the trigger.

So, about 4 planned presents to buy.

I'm hosting a mom's night next week where we'll be exchanging secret sister gifts, and going to a wine tasting. Then we're bringing back a few bottles to my house, and everyone is bringing what they've got purchased for their families so far, and we'll be wrapping them all together, all drunk in our jammies, lol.

I always have lofty goals of baking and crafting, but it never actually happens.

Oh, and I just made changes to our holiday card proofs, so hopefully those will get ordered this week. Oops.

I have the girls done, but have to buy one thing for Allie.

My Dad is getting a nano and have to get that, but knowing on this one is half the battle.

Mom - no clue, but the girls are getting her a charm for her Troll bracelet

In-Laws - getting them theater tickets as a joint gift

Rich - NO CLUE - HE is impossible. The only thing I have is new cologne for her.

The rest is pretty much done. I have some charity gifts to get yet for needy family.

Work gift - check

Christmas Eve - need a 30 gift for our name draw.

I have to make grandparent calendars yet and will do it this week since I have a shutterfly coupon code. They love these each year.

We cut out a lot of gift giving this year and I feel great about it.

shopping - at least 95% done.

cookies - nearly done, just need to finish them around the 15th

trees - have 2 (out of 3) trees in the back garden - that will take all-freaking-week this week - the main tree will take 2.5 days all by itself.  all.day.long.

other decorating - 1 day here and there

menu - will work on that after next week.  bert needs to help as he cooks the main part of the meal.  need to order the main proteins soon from the butchers.  next week i will make and freeze some hors d-oeuvres.

bonus - need to complete a 75 page 12x12 scrapbook album for my fil's 70th birthday on the 12th.

oddly this year I have no idea where I'm at.

I know I have bought big gifts for Little John and Kate.

Was going to give Jake John's DS + some games  but after our trip this past week and seeing his "video game induced coma" I'm not really a fan of putting that in my 4 year old's hands at this point!    I'm going to re-think his big gift.

I bought my MIL a ring of her choice a few months ago.

Um, that's about it other than some small odds and ends for the kids.

How did X-mas get here so fast??

I'm seriously screwed or will just be paring down my shopping this year.

I also have not gotten out one decoration yet.

I better get off my behind!!!!!!!!!

i forgot about decorating. lmao.   we didnt get our tree yet.  this weekend we will. i decorate it really quickly - i keep it minimal, and we arent doing a village bc C will destroy it.  i have to put some outdoor lights up too, bc that's our "outdoor lighting" for the winter. lol. we desperately need an electrician.

I'm done decorating and I've bought just a few presents for the girls.

We're too broke to buy anything right now and don't know when it's going to get better.

We may have to charge Christmas for the first time ever this year, and I hate that!

i put up some decorations in the living room - really the only place we decorate.

the tree will come december 12th - we're planning to cut down a fresh tree with the kids.

i still have to buy the "big" gift for all 3 of my little kids - no real ideas there.

i also have to buy for my mom, dad, sister and sil. we're just doing really small things because no one has any money but i'm trying to be a great shopper and get tons for my money. so far i haven't spent more than $12 on a person and have gotten some great stuff.

i don't think dan and i are exchanging gifts this year since we're moving and need that money for house stuff.

man, you guys are KILLING it.

i *started* my shopping on black friday

i'm done with jack except for some things i'm going to make for him

i've got a LONG way to go for cole, and am hoping for some good deals on amazon

i haven't bought a SINGLE thing for anyone else in the family

money is so tight this year, that i'll be making the nieces and nephews PJs and then we've yet to figure out what to get our parents <note to self: start a GParent gift thread>

i also haven't bought either of my 2 BFFs prezzies

and Marc and I aren't exchanging gifts which is a huge relief b/c our anniversary is 12/29 AND i'm graduating on 12/20 and we're having a big party in january that will be a cash drain.

ETA: on tree is up and the house decorations are mostly up.  i figure, if we're broke, we mine as well get the biggest holiday bang for our buck out of everything that's paid for.  :)

I'm probably at the 75% point with shopping.

The tree is up, but I still have 5 bins to go through. LOVE my tree even though it took the better part of yesterday. I put 1400 lights on it!! Each of the kids have their own ornament box and they get so excited opening it each year.

I need to get all the gifts that go to Canada bought, wrapped, and shipped by the end of the week.

I ordered cards yesterday but still need to write my annual poem that goes with them.

The kids can't wait to start the big countdown tomorrow. It'll be here too soon!

The girls put up all the inside decorations on Saturday...my tree is up, and we will be picking up our fresh tree this weekend. Still have to put the outside lights up. I should be doing that now before the rain comes smile.gif

Shopping...mom and sister in law are done. Still have my brother, brother in law, and dad.

The kids...I would say christopher is ALMOST done, but sarah and allyson, sadly no, and I am just not even sure where to start with my 10 year old. Everything she wants are hard to find items this year, and then at that, she only has 5 items on her list.

My kids things and dh's stuff is all bought, wrapped, and under the tree.  Dh ordered my gifts 2 weeks ago, but they haven't arrived yet.  Once again, I'm not doing Christmas cards this year.  I just don't have the time or energy to get them done until school is done for the semester and by then it will be too late to send them.

We're completely decorated. I've bought everything for Mark's Christmas except a big Santa gift--undecided there. Henry is finished but now he wants Santa to bring him Wii Sports Resort. I haven't bought anything for Glen.

I have a couple t-shirts for my nephew John but I still need to get him a DS game or something. He's getting a DS for Christmas. (Problem here is--I think Santa is bringing his DS and we're celebrating the Sunday before Christmas.) We don't usually exchange with adults on my side of the family but I may look for a Wii game to give them since they're getting one for Christmas.

I'm going to get Rampage for the Wii for my other nephew. He really liked it when we took it with us on Thanksgiving.

We draw names for Glen's family, and I haven't even thought about those 2 gifts yet.

I haven't bought any teacher gifts or made any cookies/bread or anything like that.

With the DS you could reserve it for car rides, waiting in line, doctors office, etc.  Ravens had Stephen's Gameboy SP since she was 2.  She didn't even know what she was doing but liked making the characters move.  Its been nice to have JIC and easy to put in a purse or her little backpack.
