so...i was so excited to get a good deal on triamenic thin strips at walgreens (they were on sale 2/$10 and you got a $5.00 register reward) so I thought that I could double it and get back two $5.00 rr, but you can't do that :(  if I had only known you had to separate them.  Oh well...there is always next time.

Most of my couponing won't take place until I get a printer....just for the above deal, I could have gotten two online coupons to use as well.  and to top it off, my sunday paper got delivered without the ads...grrr

so funny....I almost did right at the register!  but we were in a hurry since I just stopped in there the day before thanksgiving and we were going out of town.

I wonder what they would have thought if I had  and then re-bought them ;)

I was just coming here to ask why people make multiple trans. I have been reading on the slick deals coupon site, and I am so overwhelmed trying to understand all the lingo, and why they do what they do...but I'm trying.

Was looking at a Rite Aid thread, and people make sep. orders...Why do they do that?

Here is an example:

TRANS #1
Azo contact sol. $7.99 $.56 -1 $7.99 $7.55
Huggies P&N $11.99 $.82 -3 5th pack $9.81
Subtotal 2 items $19.98 $1.38 $-5/20 $-4 $7.99 (and free Huggies!) $12.36 = $4.37 OOP (and Huggies voucher)

TRANS #2
Crest $2.49 $.19 -.75 $1.50 $1.87
Soy Joy x 10 $7.00 $.49 BOGO x 5 $3.99
L’Oreal true match $8.95 $.63 -1 -2 $30 $6.58
Prune juice $2.00 $.14 $2.41
Subtotal 4 items $20.44 $1.45 -5/20 $1.50 ($31.50 L‘Oreal qualifier!) $9.85 = $8.35 OOP
(or $22.65 MM with L‘Oreal)

TRANS #3
Gillette fusion $9.00 $.63 -4 5 SCR $5.63
Oral B refills $19.99 $1.40 -5 7 SCR $14.39
Subtotal 2 items $28.98 $2.03 -5/20 12 SCR 15.02 = $3.02 OOP

mally,

i don't shop at rite aid, but i can tell by those scenarios why she is splitting them up.
do you see on the last line of each transaction where she typed -$5/20??

that would be a save $5 when you spend $20 coupon and it is limited to one per transaction (it is a rite-aid store coupon)

now, at shaws, there are two reasons people do multiple transactions.
reason 1- because shaws only doubles 6 of the same coupon per transaction
reason 2- to use a "on your next order" catalina coupon to pay for the next transaction in line.

make sense??
