Nabisco crackers at Walgreens - great deal
Permalink

i don't normally hit the drug store deals, but this is too good to pass up.

this week at walgreens, nabisco crackers are 5/$10.  there are $1/2 printable Qs here.  that makes them 5/$5.  then walgreens gives you $3 RR (coupon towards your next purchase for those not familiar with RR), so that essentially makes them 5/$2.

THEN, there's a $10 rebate (same link as above) if you buy $10 worth of crackers.  so that means you make $8 on this deal.

score!

i'm a tard.

i did the math above backwards - like the sale was 10/$5.

the correct math uses 2 $1/2 coupons, making them 5/$8 and then $3RR.  then the rebate, so you make $2 on this deal.

sorry.

help me understand this.

you will get 5 of them and it will be $10

you can use 2 coupons ($1 off of 2) for a $2.00 savings

that brings the total of 5 to $8.00 or $1.60 each.

how are you getting them down to 5 for $5?

so they will let you use 5 coupons even though technically you should only be allowed to use 2?

the coupon says $1 on 2 boxes . . .  they will let you use a coupon for each box?

April, the rebate is for ten products not ten dollars in products

So essentially youll get them free. I think.

Yes!  You can only print two from each computer, but if you have coupons from the newspaper or multiple computers, the store does not have a limit.

Kris. I am under the assumption here that you could only use 5 coupons if you bought ten boxes.

Each coupon is for 2 of your products. I MAY be wrong but I think they cant double it up like that

april,
to roll rr's at walgreen's you need to first buy the crackers, get the $3rr, then find a deal that produces $3 rr also if there are any and roll the cracker rr into that deal, then that deal back into crackers. does that make sense?

wags catalina machines recognize the company code on the previous rr, so a nabisco rr can never be used in another nabisco deal if you want a new rr to print.

This was easily the most confusing post I've ever read, lol! I'm trying to envision how this is supposed to work out, and well...  confuse

(Of course, I'm not fluent in couponese just yet, so I feel that way in most of these savings threads!) I think it will be well worth it for me to learn what all of this means. No need to reply, I just read it and started chuckling to myself.

Ok, t/j over! And thanks for sharing; I bought the Sunday paper today, and have coupons for the past month on my counter to clip.

lmao, toni!

it is simpler than it sounds. i knew april would understand so i didn't bother simplifying.

basically, the rr is the "on your next order coupon" the register prints as a reward for purchasing a certain product or products.

at walgreen's you cannot use an rr from a company, say nabisco, to pay for another rr producing purchase because the registers recognize that you are using said company's "reward" to buy more of the same products.

thus, you need to alternate deals in order to not lose them.

so, say crest was producing a $3 reward and so was revlon. your purchases would go:

buy crest/get rr
buy revlon/pay with crest rr/get new rr from revlon
buy crest/pay with revlon rr/get new rr from crest
rinse.repeat.rinse.repeat

make sense? biggrin

OMG, my head hurts after reading this...rr's around here are rail roads...wtf is an rr? A wags (I hate to say I think of the wiggles here).
