I am just curious if I am doing way toooo much. I feel like there is not enough time in the day to get everything done and am thinking about cutting back somewhere.
Here is a typical week...
Sunday: Church in the morning with the kids
Monday: Me ~ walking 6 - 7am Kylie ~ preschool 8:30 - 11:30am Kylie ~ choir 4 - 4:30pm Me ~ 1st Monday of the month preschool board meeting 6:30 - 10pm
Tuesday: Me ~ walking 6 - 7am Landon ~ preschool 8:30 -11:30am Kylie ~ ballet 9 - 10am Me ~ bible study 9 - 11:30am (go late because of ballet and have daily homework) Me ~ school 7 - 9:50pm
Thursday: Me ~ walking 6 - 7am Landon ~ preschool 8:30 -11:30am Me ~ 2nd Thursday of every month work in his classroom 8:15am - 11:45am
Friday: Me ~ walking 6 - 7am Kylie ~ preschool 8:30 - 11:30am 2nd Friday of every month work in her classroom 8:15am - 11:45am Landon ~ biddy ball 4:15 - 5pm
Saturday: Birthday parties, etc...
The kids usually each have a field trip every month so that is 2 more days a month from 8:30-11:30am. I also take my dad to the doctor once a month and try to go see him every other day. Then you throw in the kids doctor appointments, grocery shopping, etc... I feel like I am sinking !!!
Wow Tammy! You are busy...I try not to put too much so Ivy just has pre-school two days a week and I have class twice a week. Don is the busy one! btw, how is Kristen (sorry, I know that is not spelled right :bag)
Well, during the week, Mason is in school all day (this just started, he was part time). So, I have my Dutch lessons during the day and work out, but that is all of my scheduled things.
In the evenings, Mason plays it low key because he is extremely tired. I was thinking of starting him in soccer, but I'm not sure he would be able to handle it after school is wearing him out so much.
On the weekends, sometimes I will take Mason to an indoor playground, and sometimes Efe will take him to the pool. On Sundays, both Efe and I alternate watching Mason while the other one works out. Sometimes he makes me go to church
saturdays and sundays we have nothing scheduled -- i try to get a workout in, we go visit friends, etc.
R is in school m-f, 9-1130. C and i dont do anything in the mornings besides a starbucks run point because she's been napping in the car from 10-1130. otherwise we'd do a free library music program 2x a week - it just hasnt been happening with her nap.
i work wednesdays 1130-4, and then i teach my class 7-930. the kids are with the babysitter at home that day, and then DH comes home to put them to bed.
R has art class on thurs, 1-2. she's not continuing it next session. she has yoga fridays 130-230.
so everyday except wednesdays, we are free from around 230 on. we usually have playdates, do errands, do something fun, or they just hang at home and play. not too busy yet :)
We are like Sonya. We both work so Ethan is in daycare/pre-K full time Monday through Friday.
Ethan has been taking swim class on Saturday mornings from 10:15-10:45. The last one is this weekend. He'll start soccer in December at the same time and that goes through March. Not sure about the spring.
Because our week is so full, we try to limit it to one extra activity a week but it's really Ethan's call what he takes or if we even sign him up.
Tammy, this is so funny that you've posted this, because I wonder the same thing. (You do seem quite busy, by the way... especially if you have kiddos in tow)
Here's me... (my mom has Victoria M-F from 7-4, and A is in school from 8:30-3)

Saturday 7:00-10:00 long run w/running training group
Sunday Nothing regularly scheduled, but the last several weeks have been either birthday parties or stuff w/A's school, or races (in which case the long run on Saturday doesn't happen)
In my off time, I'm handling laundry, kitchen cleaning, grocery shopping, and general organization. And hanging out with my family, of course.
It feels like a lot, but I find that I'm more productive overall when I'm busy. I just wish I was better at accepting that some things will always fall through the cracks, and it isn't going to kill me...
Tammy, we are pretty busy too, but much of it is random things thrown in. Our schedule is at least this:
Monday 9 to 12 preschool 4 swim lessons We sometimes do other things in the time between preschool and swimming (Yesterday we went to lunch and play date after school and from there to dh's work to do a little birthday cake celebration for dh's business partner).
Tuesday PT every other Tuesday in am 3 ballet
Wednesday Repeat Monday
Thursday ST and OT every other Thursday which is most of the afternoon
Friday 9 to 12 preschool
We generally go out of town at least once a month, which is a pita. I have to be honest, we do generally do things with friends on most days. I could say no, but E and I both are bored staying home for a long time. I think if you are happy doing it, don't worry about it.
I way over scheduled over the summer. I should take a picture of my calendar because it was ridiculous. Here the summer's are SO humid and hot, and the winters are so frigid that I was trying to sign us up for lots of stuff to force us out. It was a huge double edged sword.
For now, our schedule is consists of unscheduled playdates 2-3 days a week and school four days a week. We did soccer in the fall, so we had 1-2 practices a week, and 1-2 games a week. I miss soccer horribly, but we probably won't do basketball this year unless Hannah really pushes for it because the weather here is so unpredictable, and kept us from getting to about half the scheduled practices or games.
Sunday - 9-12 church 3-4 choir practice evening sometime--family council (as a family we talk about what's going on during the week and make goals for the week) 7-8:30 kids pick up toys, get ready for bed, we read scriptures and sing a song as a family
Monday - 9-12 (time varies but this about when it happens) school with kids after lunch I do any housecleaning and chores for the day 4-5 Brenna has ballet 5-6:15 Crystal has ballet 5:30-6:30 Kyle has tae kwon do 7-7:15 Family Home Evening (we have a song, scripture, lesson, then dessert) 7:15-8:30 bedtime routine (same as Sunday) 8:30-9 I exercise
Tuesday - as soon as kids are up they start on baths. This usually takes until 10 or 11 9-12 school with kids after lunch I do housecleaning and chores for the day and take a shower 7-8 starting next week Kyle will have scouts 7:30-9 Rebecca has ballet 7-8:30 bedtime routine 8:30-9 I exercise
Wednesday - 9-12 school with kids 1:30-2:30ish church meeting (some weeks I don't have this but I have to set aside the time just in case) after lunch I get any chores and housework done for the day 5-6:15 Rebecca has ballet 5:30-6:30 Kyle has tae kwon do 7-8:30 Rebecca has Young Women's activity 7-8:30 bedtime routine 8:30-9 I exercise
Thursday - as soon as kids are up they start on baths 9-12 school with kids after lunch I do any chores or housework for the day and take a shower 3-4 Brittany has ballet 7-8:30 bedtime routine 7:30-9 Rebecca has ballet
Friday - 9-12 school with kids after lunch I do any housework or chores for the day, usually it's not much this day 7-8:30 bedtime routine 8:30-9 I exercise
Saturday - as soon as I'm up I get grocery list ready around 10 we all go grocery shopping afternoon is free time after dinner everyone gets baths 7-8:30 bedtime routine 8:30-9 I exercise
Also, one Thursday a month I have a church activity, every month I go visit 4 people but it's different days and times usually, and occasionally I'll have other things thrown in.

Sunday Church 10:30-12:30 Taco Bell for lunch 12:45-1:30 home for naps until around 3:30 rest of the day we go to the park or play outside.
Just like everybody else there are dentist and doctor appointments and haircuts x 4 people, school meetings, therapy for John.
I have been praying like mad to God for better time management skills!!! On a Monday or Wednesday I can go into Kohl's or Target and wander forever!!! I have started to set my timer on my cell phone - I get 45 minutes in Kohls and when that timer goes off I gotta go . . . for some reason I fail to accept that I have too much on my plate - it feels better to me to say I have poor management skills
ok, lets see. This doesn't include random programs I have to go to. It feels worse than it looks, so maybe I'm just a baby :)

I am glad to see I am not the only one with a crazy schedule. I just feel so overwhelmed lately. Plus DH has been out of work and home so we have really been working on the house and it is impossible to keep clean.
I think I need a mommy spa day to recharge
Oh, and I should be writing a 3 - 5 page essay right now because it is due TONIGHT !!! I just can't get motivated.
Raven has nothing scheduled right now except preschool. Raven goes to preschool Tuesday-Friday 8-11:15. Stephen has nothing scheduled either but I spend a lot of time driving him around(friends, mall, movies, etc.). I spend most of my time at home when the kids are at school.
