you said you can download audiobooks from the library and put them on your touch?

I thought we could only put stuff from Itunes on them.

Does that only apply to music?

My library uses a program called OverDrive and if i download one of the books, I can push it to my ipod when connected.

one other question - hopefully you see this.

how long does your battery last?

I fully charged mine last night.  Brought it to work with me, turned it on about 9:00 a.m. and it is almost 1:00 p.m. and the battery is almost dead!!!!!!!!

I haven't gotten the 20% battery life flasher yet but it can't be far off.  I thought the battery was supposed to last longer than 5 hours!

that sounds about the same for my battery. It doesn't last that long.

I'm hoping it will last me the whole flight to SF.

This is what it says about battery life on Amazon.com

This player is the iPod touch, not the Apple iPhone 8 GB capacity for 1,750 songs, 10,000 photos, or 10 hours of video Up to 36 hours of music playback or 6 hours of video playback when fully charged

I am not getting anything like 36 hours!  If you surf the net does that suck your battery life?

I will try a few of these things.  I turned autolock off but just went and turned it back on.
