Has anyone done Elf on the Shelf?

I was just wondering who has read the Elf on a Shelf book and then used the little elf?  Did it help?  Was it really worth buying?

Allison loved it. She would look forward to each morning and finding where he was. She also thinks he is the direct line to Santa. She is scared to death of Santa and says that he cannot come in her room. So, Ducky is the go between. Ducky is what she named her elf.

Most everyone I know loves it too.

We don't have an Elf on a Shelf.

But I have a ceramic angel, that serves a similar purpose.

Every year I swear I'm going to actually get the Elf, but I just always put it off.

They will love it. Allie cannot wait for him to come back. There is a story book that comes with it. They get to name him and it is just fun.

 

Big problem is remembering to move him every night,lol. I screwed up a few times and left him. She wanted to know why he did not go to the North Pole that night.

It is just a fun thing to add to the holiday.

Plus, she really thinks he will rat her out to Santa.
