They've been sprinkled over a couple threads, but I love hearing what folks are doing.  I find Halloween to be such a fun holiday :)

We have Halloween Week pretty much.

On Wednesday, the boys will dress up and hand out candy in my halls to the students.  They love doing this, and several students have told me they have picked up stuff for the boys too.  So cute.

Thursday I am running "Halloweenie" with my students where they buy hotdogs for $1 for our Champion the Cure fundraiser.  Everything is halloween themed, and then the big event is pie-ing the staff.  Several folks are buying the my boys pies to throw at mom.  Fun, I think?

Friday is Koda's preK Halloween party, then from 5-7 we will be trick or treating in one of the freshamn halls that have invited kids of faculty staff.  There are only 8 stops or so, so it won't take long.

Saturday, if the kids aren't tired of Halloween, we will do Trick or Trot at the university farm.  The horses are all in a huge barn and their student caretakers/owners are at each stop to give out candy.  Many of the horses have "costumes" on.  It is very cute.

I don't think we will do traditional trick or treating.  We are already doing plenty :)

Friday is Jake's Halloween party at preschool.

Saturday we've decided to take them to an event put on by the church where they attend daycare.  There is a festival from 3-6 and then trunk or treating from 6-7.

Every year we do something different and honestly every year has pretty much been miserable to date :bag (meaning the neighbor we select, the event we attend, etc.).  I'm hoping they will see some friends and have a good time.

Halloween is a big deal in my neighborhood.

The kids T-O-T and then someone always has a party at their house afterward.

We also walk around while T-O-Ting with cocktails and some people hand out beer and wine to the adults along with the candy for the kids.

I know, parents of the year award in my hood.

The kids aren't complaining though, they get to run around with their friends like maniacs on their sugar highs all night at the party.

we dont do a lot. i'll tke daniel and keely t-o-t...probably goingto a different neighborhood....the people around here are sucky about passing out candy...hardly anybody has a light on. I figure if i have to do it, i'm taking them to a neighborhood where it will be worth my time to have to walk lol fortunately the neighborhood i will take them to, i have gone to before and its not huge but they'll still have fun.

the 3 older boys will pass out candy....i just have to remind jeff several times not to smoke in the front or on the front porch bc of the kids coming up there.

other than that, we arent doing mch of anything.

eta....i forgot that the college i was going to will be having their fall festival on halloween so i MIGHT take daniel and keely there for a couple hours saturday afternoon

Friday, Mason's school is having a Halloween party, and they TOT around the shopping center that the school is next to.

Saturday night, we're going to a local park that will have a haunted train ride and a Halloween parade.  I can't wait!  Last year we tried TOT'ing in our neighborhood and no one was home/answered their doors!  I think people just do community celebrations here.

omg. that sounds like the best halloween ever.

can i PLEASE come?

our plans are boring.

friday emily has her parade at school at 2pm. then snacks (party) in her classroom after.  then we head to jake's daycare for his parade at 3:30.  then over to the school where i teach for haunted high school - clubs set up booths and the kids can tot inside.  it's nice.

saturday, we'll probably take them around the block in our neighborhood (maybe 20 houses?) for an hour or so.

that's it.

Tomorrow we have a town festival that we'll go to... The little shops on the "main strip" (which is just a block long, lol) do cider and hot chocolate, hot dogs, chili, etc. and they all pass candy to the kids (except for the hippy jewelry store owner who gives apples, and gets egged the next day.) They have a costume parade and judging, and that is usually followed by me throwing a tantrum about being beat out by a preemie that shouldn't have been out in the first place, lmfao.

Thursday, Hannah has a preschool party, then Trick or Treating that night.

Friday, she has a preschool party (at her other school) and they do a parade to the area businesses on that side of town.

Saturday, Joe and I have some parties we can go to, but idk if we will. Neither of us has costumes right now, so if Hannah goes to my mom I'll probably just go as "Frazzled Mom in need of a break"

That sounds freaking fantastic.

I'm so jealous. How fun!

Friday evening, Glen and I took the kids and Henry's friend to Zoo Boo! We had our church's Fall Festival this past Sunday afternoon followed by Trunk-or-Treating in the parking lot.

Not that it was planned, but we spent much of today making Halloween crafts and decorating the house. The kids asked if we could have a Halloween party so I may invite a couple of their friends over (or my nephew) on Thursday or Friday night. Saturday during the day, Kimberly said her church was having a festival so we may do that. Then trick-or-treating Saturday evening. And my aunt invited us for the second annual Halloween weenie roast at her house on Sunday evening.

Whew.
