Halloween costumes

I'm not sure if this has already been discussed.

What is everyone being for Halloween?

M2 finally decided on being a clown.  He started off wanted to be Batman, then thomas the train, then Buzzlightyear, and a million other things when we were at the costume store! lol

Josie is going to be a butterfly (pink bug from Old Navy - she walked into the store and screamed "I want that")

Charlie is going to be batman or a pirate.

I hate halloween. I do not have time to worry about this.

Elizabeth picked out the butterfly costume too!  She was all set to be a dinosaur and like Josie, walked in and saw the butterfly and we were done.

Raven is batman. I wanted her to be a zombie since we are going to the thriller parade. She wore her old devil costume Saturday to the parks Halloween celebration since it was cold.

Owen is going to be Peter Pan and Gavin is going to be Captain Hook. Well, we are improvising with the hook costume - a nice pirate costume that we had and hook's hat. Hoping it doesn't look too silly but he loves it so that's really all I care about. Can't wait!

I am so upset about Halloween.

I REALLY want Kate to be the pink Minnie Mouse.  There was a size 2T at Target a few weeks ago but I passed it up b/c it was $30 and I was like I cannot pay $30 for 1 night of tot in that costume.  I've been regretting it.  I went back and it was gone.  I went to another Target, gone.  I called Disney store, only had 18 months.

I bought her a dress up fairy thingy and she likes it but she would have been such a cute minnie mouse.

Like you, I do not have time to let this issue consume me but what can I say?   I had a baby girl and lost all control of my senses!!!!!!!

Kaylen picked a while ago between two costumes. We bought it and shes stuck no changing her mind. Shes going to be a monarch butterfly and the boys are both going to be pirates.

Hannah is going to be Strawberry Shortcake. It's super cute, but I'm not a huge fan of this whole independent stuff where everything has to either be picked out or approved of by her, lol.

grace is going to be a cake...i am not 100% sure if it is going to be a wedding cake or a birthday cake yet, but i finished the dress part last night. now, i just need to make a hat (top layer) and decide if i am putting candles or a bride/groom up there.

connor is going to be the red baron and my husband is building him a plane to wear. should be interesting to see how it comes out...

rachel is going to be hello kitty, and cara is going to be mimmy (hello kitty's twin sister - really exists but only someone like rachel would know about it - lol) - mimmy looks just like HK but has a bow on the opposite ear.  cara is thrilled with teh idea.

anyway i knit them white barets with ears and a big bow (pink for HK, green for mimmy) and i made felt HK/mimmy decals that i sewed on old shirts (pink for R, green for C) and they'll wear pink and green tutus respectively, and striped tights. should be cute - was definitely NOT expensive - i think i paid probably $5 on both together.  score.

Kyle, a pirate
Kevin, a dragon

I asked a few weeks ago what they wanted to be, and this was all them. Thankfully we found costumes at Target right away. Kevin's costume is supposed to be a dinosaur, but it looks more like a dragon, so it worked out great for us.

I'm so impressed by the people that make their own costumes. I say I'm going to do that every year but I'm not that creative. lol.

Ethan is spiderman. We went to a costume birthday party this weekend and EJ and I dressed up for that too. I was Rogue from the X-Men and EJ was Clark Kent.

i am way impressed by people who sew the entire thing. i couldnt imagine.  i have GOT to learn how to sew.

can you guys promise to post pics on here and not just FB? i'm dying to see everyone's costumes.

Meghan is going to be Snow White. 

It's what she chose to be in Disney and I got her excited to be that for Halloween too (so I don't have to buy another costume *bag*).
