finished the cinderella american girl doll dress - very pleased with the result! the puffy decoration stuff around the waist is a pita when making realllly tiny. all that gathering - ugh. need to put the dolls hair in a bun and put a black ribbon around her neck to take a pic.
next up - snow white...already dreading the red inserts in the sleeves...
good thing i already cut out all the pieces for all the dresses or i might have just stopped at cinderella LOL.
Megan - I can't wait to see the finished dresses. I know they look great!
Sonya - I hope Josie is feeling all better.
I don't read the newspaper or watch the news, except to catch the weather.
If something REALLY important happens, my mom tells me about it.
I also glance at the headlines on the yahoo homepage where I go to check my email; sometimes I even click on those and read if I think they're interesting.
If I must watch the TV news, I prefer the one that just shows local stuff.
I like to read the local paper to find out what's going on around here. I am big on voting, and the only way to really find out about anyone here is through the local paper. I read national and foreign news on line. I do kind of pick and choose, because sometimes it is just too depressing.
Sonya I hope Jo is feeling better and the candle worked.
Muffy I can't wait to see the picture.
I am excited because I have some alone time tomorrow morning to go to a craft show, look at toys, and whatever.
I also found a black cowl neck sweater dress that I am going to wear to a wedding in a week. So exactly how do you accessorize a cowl neck dress? It's this in black.
i took a soma for my back and i'm on my third beer so everything is AWESOME here right now. :) i'm also laying on my heating pad. old age is so fun.
kids are in bed and matt and i had some f'n good sex this afternoon, LMAO!
any good plans for the weekend?
oh, and to answer the question, i glance at CNN.com when i have time (never) and watch the local news when i get a few minutes - but that's always when i'm cooknig dinner so i only half watch. i think that makes facebook my major news source. ah - big news - someone needs help on a moscow job. LMAO
Seriously, it is ok to get gas before the gd light comes on. it doesn't make you less of a man.
Mike is driving, had to get off the highway in the middle of rural Nova Scotia and has the gas light on.
I had to try to direct him to a gas station and he's yelling at me the whole time.
i finally found one, called to make sure she could stay open for him.
Oh. and earlier, he was going to take a ferry from where he was and avoid 3 hours of driving. He didn't think to call (so I did) and the ferry was canceled due to bad weather.
if i hadn't called, he would have driven an hour just to have to turn around and drive 4 extra hours.
