more on morrocanoil :)

ok i know i'm on and on here.
but i have to say -- i read some reviews online originally and so many said that the more you use the curl cream, the better it works.
i'm a week in now, and HOLY COW i cant tell you the improvement over those other pics i posted.
i literally have a head full of spiral curls.  i'm putting it in with my fingers post-shower, no comb, and twisting my hair in chunks, and it's actually staying, even overnight.
i am getting mega compliments, even from my hairdresser friends who NEVER THOUGHT i'd see curl again after having my hair stripped.
i'm investing in the conditioning mask this weekend (its $40 but i'm so sold on this line that i'm barely flinching at that price -- for me to have my curls back and not straighten is INVALUABLE).
so basically i've reduced my hair ritual from 45min-an hour, with blowing it, straightening it, etc, to FIVE MINUTES (not even), and i prefer the curls!!
YAY.

also another reason i'm so excited about this line is that my kids have curls -- i'm soooo glad there's finally something on the market to DEAL WITH CURLS - my girls are totally goign to need something when they're older, and i was NOT looking forward to hours of straightening THEIR hair too (bc you KNOW they're going to be stressing over their curls by the time they're 12).
lets pray this stuff still exists by then.

I went for a haircut on Saturday and my hairdresser had some Moroccan oil sitting on his table so I decided to buy a bottle and try it.

I really love it too.  Times are so different now.  I wish I had of had all these tools to do my hair when I was younger.  Such a difference they all are making.

Can this be used on children? Allie has this curly/frizzy hair and I wonder if it will help. I do not want to start using products on her hair now and ruin it. I was wondering if this is harsh or not.

Wow!!! That is awesome!!! I am so happy to hear this!!! I got mine, but the pump doesn't work and I ordered online, so I REALLY do't feel like returning it. I need to find an alternate container for it so I can actually use it!

Are you using it once a day? When you get out of the shower or other times? And what about in humidity and rainy weather?

I m so gad you love it!!!

i'm sure it could be - it seems VERY mild - but that said, i'm reluctant to use products in their hair so young also.

how are you doing allie's hair? i have a shampoo + conditioner (johnson & johnson) and i put it in a side barette while wet, and she sleeps on it wet.  so the top dries pretty flat and then she gets the banana curls.  i do brush it wet still, but i think soon enough that's going to cause frizz.

do you use a leave-in?

heyyyyyy - my pump doesnt work either!! WTF????

i unscrew it and just take the product off the stick (if that makes sense).  pita.

yeah i'm using it once a day. at first i was using a bit to touch up by the afternoon, but now i dont need it bc i think my hair is really reacting well to it. i am not frizzy by midday anymore.

we havent had much humidity since i started using it, and it's held up reasonably well in the rain -- but of course, no one looks great in the rain.

if you dont see great results at first, jsut keep up with it. i swear my hair keeps getting better with it.

I have to use that J&J detangler spray on her hair every morning.

She will not go to sleep with wet hair. It would be so much better for her hair, but she makes us dry it and now that it is cold she insists.

Her curl is all over the place. Sometimes it is very curly and others not as much, but there is a lot of frizz.

I really want to find something healthy to help make the curls look neater and not so frizzy.

Wait-your pump doesn't work either???  That is wack!!!  Apparently they need a redesign on that-but I will not be unscrewing it everytime.  I need to find another container for it.

It is horrid and raining today, but I am definitely going to be trying it daily and see how it goes!

ok so you have to brush her hair in teh mornings then?  i found that the detangler actually frizzed up R's hair a bit.

so you blow her hair dry? do you use conditioner? will she sleep in a ponytail at least, with dry hair? (R wont....but at least she'll sleep with it wet...i'd hate to have to deal with a hairdryer!!!)

in the summer (with the humidity) i used adult conditioner (pantene or whatever) on R's hair. i just used a teeny bit and it helped with manageability.
i dont need it now that it's fall.

eta: i wonder if burts bees or kheils makes something??

hmm. maybe I should stop using the detangler then.

She will not sleep in a pony. I hate the hair dryer too. I am sure it is not great for her hair.

I am going to search around to see what I can find.

I do use conditioner on her. I just bought this pantene one and it has made no difference.

I do have to brush her hair in the morning. That is why I was using the detangler. It gets all crazy and that gets it wet and managable. I mean she is not awful, but I wish I could figure it out. I want to try something so whe I do pictures it looks nice.

I am going to try burts, california baby, etc.

i have intensive curl cream.  MoroccanOil Hydrating Styling Cream, 10.2-Ounce Bottle

my hair is INSANELY coarse and frizzy. i'm not sure if this is the perfect product for everyone. keep that in mind. i hear great things about this for straightening:

Moroccanoil

i plan to get the deep conditioning mask soon, which my friends rave about:

Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Mask, 16.9-Ounce Jar

i might ask for the shampoo and conditioner for my stocking this year :)

maybe if you diffuse it?  (you dont have curly hair, right?)

another thought would be to blow it dry while twisting it into big chunky curls - that defrizzes mine SLIGHTLY and i bet for a little kid it would work well.

or maybe just a bit of biosilk to smooth it? i've done that for R here and there in the summer.

i'd think morrocanoil would be totally fine for her, but i havent looked at the ingredients and i dont know what kind of build-up will result kwim?

i have a question. My hair is slightly curly ( not spirals or anything) when wet. BUt it always ends up straight ( not stick straight but just looks eh). I havent found anything to keep my curls in. Do you think this would keep the curl or is it only for people with mega curls.

ok, i'm thinking of ordering some.  i want to try to start wearing my hair curly again so maybe the curl cream for me.  we'll see.  my hair is definitely not as curly as you though.  it is more wavy and full of frizz and fine (not coarse) but thick.  i always straighten it, but am getting so bored with straight hair lately.
