I know we had a thread about this on the old board but I was wondering if there are any fun board games your kids now love (and that YOU don't mind playing with them) This past weekend we went out of town and stayed in a cabin. There were several games there and Lucas loved "Don't break the Ice" I'm thinking about adding it to his Christmas list.

One of our long time favorites is I Can Do That - it's a Dr. Suess game, and we laugh our butts off.

Others in our collection that get frequent use:
Twister HopScotch
Don't Wake Hulk
Pretty Pretty Princess
Lucky Ducks
Candyland (we actually have a rug too, and it's really fun)
Guess Who
Crocodile Dentist
Hi Ho Cherry-O
Chutes and Ladders
5 Little Monkeys

This was one of Elizabeth's birthday gifts and she loves this game too.  I really don't like games much, but I don't mind playing this one.  We seem to do better with games like this that require a little more physical involvement. smile

I will have to check that Dr. Seuss one out. Sounds like fun.

My boys (especially gavin) LOVED don't break the ice. So much that they broke the dang game! Both of the little hammer thing because he played it so much. I would totally get that one. All the little games like that - ants in the pants, don't spill the beans are pretty fun for this age.

The boys are getting hi ho cherry o (I LOVED that game when I was little) and chutes and ladders for christmas. Now I need to check that dr. seuss one out too!

I will have to check out the Dr. Suess one.

Owen is loving playing Dora Candyland right now.

He also likes...

I Spy Go Fish - this is a card game
Sequence for Kids (we got from Erin in a swap long ago)
Wac-a-mole
Hungry, Hungry Hippos
Connect Four

Guess Who, but he still needs a little help with this one.

He does play Hi Ho Cherry O but he likes to play it his way and mess with the cherries putting them on the trees and in the bucket by himself.

Perhaps we're in the minority, but Koda just isn't in to board games.  he wants to play his way, pulls a tantrum...blah.  So not worth the argument.

I'm hoping by taking the pat two months or so off (and until Christmas) we will warm up and hopefully be a tiny more focused.  We bought hi-ho cheerio a couple months back and lucky duck (?) when they were on super sale.

We'll probably add don't break the ice, that sounds like one he might like.

At this rate though, Tristen will be playing them long before my little Godzilla.
