GM! 

Yesterday was a long day.  I had to be on the road by 3am to be down state in time for my moms surgery.  She got a knee replacement.

She was doing well when I left, but physical therapy starts today.  I think today will be kind of crappy, but every day should hopefully get better.

Three months later she will have the other done.

It will change her life so much, I can't wait for her to be able to join us for outings, etc.

My brother is having a mid-life crisis.

He is four years older than me, so 35 this Nov.

His solution.  Join the military.  I wish I was joking.

He leaves for 5 months on December 29.
Reserves, not that it matters anymore in terms of who gets sent overseas.

He is already an EMT, so he will be going to medic school.

He doesn't have anything going for him in his life, so i get it, I just hope he doesn't regret it.

I really wish there were bleachers at basic training so I could see him deal with drill instructors.  Or get out done by the 19 years olds in much better shape.

Henry's 2nd grade teacher had two knee replacements (one per year), and she's doing great.

Hopefully your mom will have just as great results.

Remember how after my last c/section I seperated my abdominal muscles?  Well, the other day, I started hurting, not at the original location but more to the side.  I'm going to see a surgeon next week to see what's up?

IF I have to have surgery, it'll have to be next summer.  There's NO WAY I can do it now, during Kenneth's busiest time of the year.  No way...

That doesn't sound like fun at all! :( I hope it doesn't require surgery at all!

 

I had a whole load of questions I asked Grant last night but they weren't anything y'all would want to answer. I watched Resident Evil: Apocalypse last night before bed so they were survival questions.
He gave interesting answers.

I did get 5 inches cut off my hair last night!!!

my DH is saying I need to trim Kate's bangs.

I did not wait 2 years and 2 months for that hair to finally grow in to just rush off and trim it up!

Nope.  We'll use barretts for now.

Is that even how you spell barrett?

Yeah I'm tired this morning too! Had a hard time waking up!

Jennifer- That sounds painful I hope you dont have to have surgery!!

Jen thats great about your mom, hope its a smooth recovery for her and shes good as new again!

Kris- Yeah, pictures!!!! I wanna see the haircut :)  ITA about not cutting your girl's hair!!! LOL Sometimes men don't get it how hair is so important to women/girls :)
