Selling textbooks online?

I want to sell my textbooks since I'm no longer in the surg tech program. I KNOW the school bookstore won't give anything reasonable on a buy-back.

I've looked at few places online that buy used textbooks and gotten a couple quotes---i obviously don't expect to get what I paid but good grief, I don't want pennies on the dollar either, kwim?

Has anyone done this? would you recommend any particular site/company to buy them? Did you have a good/bad experience?

My mom sold hers on ebay. You can just start the bid where your not willing to go under or put a reserve on it. I know my dad buys his from Amazon sellers though.

I sold mine on www.half.com and www.textbookx.com I listed the same books on both places and when they sold on one site took that book off the other to keep inventory up to date.

We've always used half.com.  That tends to be where we buy them as well.  We like that you set your price, and unlike ebay, you don't pay a fee unless it actually sells.
