Hi!

Mark went to his first actual "free" karate class this morning. He's a Little Ninja. Soooo cute.

I kept thinking that surely there is a catch to the whole "try out the class free for a month", and of course they want me to sign him up. But I haven't signed anything or given them any money yet. And the lady at the desk said he could come back as many times as he likes for a month. For free. I told her that we wouldn't be able to afford to start any actual paid classes until after Christmas. She didn't jump for joy but she said that if I wanted, she'd go ahead and make Mark an attendance card, and he could still come to the classes for free this month.

Oops, I forgot about a question.

Hmmm . . . .

When was the last time you got your hair cut or colored? Did you like it?

The last time I got my hair cut was about 2-3 months ago. It really needs it but the guy I like to go to costs 50 dollars and I really want to just trim it to grow it out. Im afraid if I go to a closer place and say trim theyll cut it all off so i just havent done anything yet.

Im glad marks enjoying the karate classes.

I color my hair about every 6 weeks.  I can't stand gray hair on me, not yet.  Plus, I need my rock star red highlights in there biggrin

Last time I colored my hair was last August. I died it this crimson red but the natural blonde hi-lites in my hair turned it all pink. Yeah me! That was the first time I met Grant's longtime friend's fiancee. Yeah. She surely didn't enjoy meeting a pink-haired freak! LMAO.

BUT! I promised her my hair would be back to normal by their wedding and I kept my word! By the time they got married last October my hair was back to my natural red.

The last time I got it cut was last November. I let Grant cut it too. Never again. I was desperate for a trim and he definitely did that. Ah, yes. I think it was right before I found out I was pregnant..

I am in need of a cut. So many dead ends! Ergh. But we never seem to have the funds to do it. Pesky bills.

Have fun on the boat April, and try not to worry. It will be ok!!!

Last time I got my hair did was March. She cut it too short and the color fried my hair. So I have been waiting it out and just using natural instincts wash out color instead. It is starting to need a cut-not sure if I will do permanent color again right now. I think I may stick with the semi-permanent until I can't cover the gray on my own anymore. It is cheaper and not as harsh on my hair...

Do you think it is true that our hair changes every 7 years?

Hey girlies! I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

I got my hair cut about 2 weeks ago... I love it. I got the back cut shorter. It was spiky, which is my signature style, lol, but I was getting tired of everyone asking me if it was the Kate Gosselin cut, so now it's a bit different.

I haven't colored my hair since May... I colored it pink and black, although most of the black has faded to my natural color, or been cut off, and now a brassy orange is left from where my hair was bleached for a strong pink color. The color right now is tragic, but I don't have the money to upkeep it with more important things like Christmas coming up.

I got my hair cut on Thursday.

It was my same-old cut; it just seems drastic because I only get my hair cut once or twice a year.

I had a gazillion split ends that I could REALLY see whenever I pulled my hair back on top (which was all the time), but he didn't cut it short enough on top to get rid of them.

So I took the scissors to it again later that evening.

I think it looks fine, even with my added snipping.

ok, i got my hair colored and cut the first week of september. i'm starting to see grays peeking through again, but i probably won't color it again for a while. i usually do it every 8-10 weeks just b/c i'm too cheap. i'll probably do it at the beginning of november again.

babysitter did great. i expected to be home by 10:30 today, but due to CRAZY fog on the atlantic, i was an hour late. i let her know early this morning though and she was fine with that.

i'm hoping she was happy with the $100 we paid her. we'll see if she's willing to do it again - then we'll know what she thought of the experience!

I hope you had a great weekend, April--despite the fog.

My boys are getting ready to go visit Nana.

Then I'll enjoy some alone-time, a little bit of cleaning (and more attempting to unclog my vacuum cleaner), laundry.

It's a rainy Sunday.

Okay, I got the kitchen cleaned including the counters, table, stovetop, sink (even down inside the drain cover thingy), old dishes in the refrigerator. Also, I added the new bag of flour to the flour container. And I hand-washed all the no-spill cups just because the dw wasn't full enough to run it again.

I have laundry washing and drying plus there is a load on my bed waiting to be folded and put away.

Next on my list--either straighten the entryway/living room or go to the grocery store.

I don't really want to go out in the rain but we desperately need groceries.

Blah.

I took my vacuum apart the other day and pulled lots of stuff out of it but it still seems to be clogged.

Driving me bonkers.

Glen told me not to buy any more vacuum cleaners.

I guess he wants our filthy carpet to get up and walk out of the house. ??

robin, when my vacuums used to act like that, i took off the bottom plate and shoved an untwisted wire coat hanger up there to pull out clogs.

(now that i have a dyson, it doesn't clog anymore)

It's been about a year since I got my hair cut last.  I've never colored my hair.  Actually, I need to get my hair cut in the next few weeks.  I was going to do it next weekend, but I have a baby shower to attend so it will have to wait another week.  Hopefully nothing else will come up.

Colin just passed out on the couch! Poor tyke was tired. He made his singing debut at church. I so wish I had the camera.

He didn't remember the words so while everyone was singing it he was singing, "Wah wah blah blah" in this deep, deep tone that had everyone laughing their butts off.

That's my child. Smithfield.
