i'm not combing it through. i never comb my hair. i'm running it through wet hair and then twisting my hair into big chunky curls, and then not touching it at all. it's been curling really well. MUCH less frizz. you can get it on amazon. i got it at my local pharmacy though. good luck!!
You both know I have frizz issues too. I have been using Making Waves, but I can't seem to find it anymore???
So anyway, I have read mixed reviews about the Moroccanoil-do you love it or just like it? How does it compare to other things you have used?
So far, the Making Waves was the ONLY thing that I could use and be able to wear my hair curly all day, but I haven't had to buy it in years (that is how often I wear my hair curly, lmao) and now it seems like it is no mo.
Would you mind telling me what you love and don't like about it? Thank you!!!!
it takes a lot of my frizz out, and the curls are more cohesive than any other product i've tried. i dont love the smell (a little powdery??) - but i DO love how soft my hair looks. it's still pretty crazy hair - bushy and whatnot, but it's CURLY and not frizzy now. i think it's worth a try. maybe your hair salon has it and you can ask to try theirs at your next haircut or something?

Thank you Kelly! I think this is definitely worth a try. And I do need a hair cut.
My hair will always be very full and bushy (I can look like I backed up a couple of decades in no time flat, lmao), but if I can tame the frizz and get healthy looking curls, I can live with the fullness.

I'll give it a try and lyk what I think!!!
today it didnt work so well, just as a heads-up - it's drizzly and muggy and my hair is back to it's old frizz - i guess it's not a miracle cure but maybe can help with a little taming.
dorian, not sure if you'll see this, but i just took a few pics for my sister. these arent the best shots bc i just had a full body mole check at the derm, and he picked through my hair like CRAZY (think elementary school tic check) - but anyway even with that, this is how the morrocanoil is working. which is pretty good considering that usually it's at least twice as frizzy.

oh you RULE for posting pics too
i tried to find a local salon that sells it but no luck
think i'm just going to order online
your curls don't look 'crispy' at all. i really like my current product but sometimes my curls look crispy/wet and i'm not down with that.

totally. i think that is the best way to describe this over other products i've used. there's no gel-vibe at all, or even mousse-vibe - it's like completely soft. but seriously dont get me wrong, as you can see in pic one, there's still a good amount of bushiness -- but i dont mind that, as long as the curls are there. and considering the fine toothed comb my hair went through today, it held up pretty well.
Kelly, I think your after looks awesome! I am sorry it isn't workng perfectly but it looks pretty good to me!!
I am tryin it.
I looked into getting the Making Waves stuff (isn't that also what you have used, D?), and unless you are willing to spend like $50 for a tube of it, you can't get it. ARGH!!! Had I known about this, I would have bought more hen it was available!! Oh well, time to find new products!

LMAO - just to clarify, the first pic isnt "before" - that's after using MO also - HAHAHA!! it's definitely bushy and like i said, my scalp had just been searched for moles...
seriously this hair is so unmanageable that ANYTHING making it remotely socially appropriate is a winner to me. MO isnt all that expensive (dont spend more than $22 bc that's the going rate) - i can see it's going to last forEVER...and i'd venture to guess that most drug stores would let you return it...go for it.

i never heard of making waves. $50 is a lot. ug.
LMAO! I think your hair has mine beat-though mine is SUPA frizzy as well.
I ordered on Amazon (I have prime and I didn't feel like shopping around for it, lol. I'm lazy like that). I should get it tomorrow or the next day. Yay!!
The Making Waves was a Graham Webb product. My tube is years old-IDR when I even bought it! But I went through a few years of ONLY doing pony tails, so it just sat around. Like D said, it works, but sometimes had that crunchy feel that looks wet. That was the one downside of it. But now I am out.
I am excited to try this! I have such a hard time finding anything that even makes a dent.

seriously i'd put money on the fact that i have the frizziest hair on the entire board. for real, it's horrific and completely unmanageable. give the morrocanoil a few days (separate washings) to kick in - it did NOTHING for me the first few tries, and now my hair is starting to respond.

it didn't used to be that pricey supa, and yes that's what i used to use
a while ago, april turned me on to this product that she was using, and that's what i've been using since

Yeah-when I first searched for it, it said it was like $10-12 per tube, but then when I clicked the link, it said it was a discontinued product and it was like $50!!! Dayum!!!!
I did love that stuff though-it kept the frizz away for sure, even though it got crunchy.
Anyway, I got some of the moroccainoil mask stuff and I used it last night. After one use, my hair DEFINITELY felt softer. I haven't tried the curl creme yet.
