I haven't been around much lately, I check in when I can and do a crappy job of responding to posts. Sorry about that. :blush Just wanted to check in and share what's been going on with us lately.
We're still waiting for our house to sell, it's been on the market for 3 months and still no offers, though we've had plenty of showings. They always seem to have an excuse - "oh, it's a nice home, very pretty...BUT, it's too small, or too big, or etc" It's frustrating, but we're trying to stay patient and have faith that it will happen soon.
I've been talking a lot with Dom lately about me leaving my job, and he's been so supportive about it. I've not been happy for a long time, and so I'm trying to muster up the courage to just make the leap, because that's what I'm going to do for sure. We're working on a plan for making it all happen - saving money, cutting expenses, figuring out when to do it. I'm scared out of my mind, but I'm also excited. I'll stay home with the boys for awhile and then eventually go back to school later on down the road.
The boys have been doing well. We've been visiting family for the last week and a half, and they love it out here. I can't wait to be closer so we can come here more often. The weather is awesome, much better than the triple digits we're missing out on today.
And the last bit of news for now...I'm pregnant! This weekend I went with Dom to his reunion dinner, it was on Saturday night. I figured I should test just in case, because I knew they'd be serving alcohol and I wanted to be sure I was in the clear. So I tested Saturday morning, thinking it might be a little early to test since my next period wasn't due until later this week. I didn't really think anything of it, but there it was, the faint BFP. Looks like I'll be due in June.
Thanks for reading!
ETA: Please don't say anything on FB yet, we haven't told any of our family. Thanks!
