Cole had his livery biopsy on Friday (as you FB friends know all too well ).
The procedure went really well. They knocked him out with gas in the OR and then did his IV after he was out...what a relief. I'm glad they did it that way too because when he came out afterwards his arms and hands looked like pin cushions, so they must have had a hard time getting a good vein.
He stayed overnight in the hospital for observation and came home Saturday afternoon. Besides being sore and hating the activity restrictions, he is doing well.
They were able to get the samples from his liver that they needed and we should have results late next week. I'll post an update once we know more.
i'm glad they put him to sleep before doing the IV. and, i'm glad the test is over. please keep us updated. i have been thinking of cole a bunch, and i hope they get some answers to start making him feel well again.
Glad to see he's doing well...isn't it amazing how resiliant kids are...adults are more than willing to just lay around and heal, but kids just want to be up and having fun.
What a brave little tropper you have. I'm glad that he is home and doing well. Waiting is the hardest part sometimes and I am saying many prayers that this will provide the answers you are looking for. Many hugs to you momma. I'm thinking of you and will be looking for your update when you get the results.
