We live in a total university city (7 universities within walking distance) so this time of year, we are always bombarded by students. Yesterday I noticed the hundredth poster shop set up and it gave me todays question.
What posters did you have up on the wall when you were in college?
i only went to college for a year and lived at home. i had no posters up.
owen is sick now with vomiting. we had croup thurs, fri, sat nights then he got pink eye got on drops monday for that and started in last night around 1 am and has not stopped since. seriously what the heck is with this virus! just hoping no one else catches it.

oh no. poor owen.
i hope he is over it quickly and no one else catches it.
Good morning! I don't think I had any posters up when I lived in the dorm the start of my freshman year. On the other hand my roommate did have a Pink Floyd poster up.
Sara I hope your sweet Owen is feeling better soon. It sounds like it's been pretty rough for both of you.
Sonya enjoy your BBQ.
I am trying to get E ready for preschool but she is being a pita. I am hoping to have a quick cup of coffee with friends after I drop her off. I think I will really need it.
ty for thoughts for Owen, i am calling when the phone line opens in 15 minutes. i am sure they will tell me it is just viral but i am starting the freak out mom thing of what if it is swine flu or something else wrong with him. he has rarely been sick and then to have croup, pink eye and now puking is just crazy all within 6 days. he also keeps complaining that his head really hurts. i just gave him motrin about 15 minutes ago he puked last about 1 hr 20 min ago so hoping the motrin stays down then will try to give him a bit of fluids.
I didn't have any posters but I did have a calendar with a hunky, long-haired male model on it, and I kept it on that month the whole school year instead of switching to the correct month.
I tried googling to find that picture but vague searches like "80's male calendar models" can bring up some inappropriate stuff.
It was 1989/1990, I think. I stayed in the same dorm room all 4 years so it may have been anytime between 1989 and 1992.
Sonya, you are so funny. I also had some van gogh posters up that were probably hideous, but made me feel sophisticated. lol.
Robyn, you crack me up.
Thsi topic made me think of the fact that growing up, we had lots of framed posters of the wine festivals and symphony/opera events in Santa Fe on our walls, no real "art" other than that. But, my parents had framed Blue Boy and Pinkie in their bedroom, and I was like 12 before I figured out they werent my Dad's parents or any other relative for that matter. LOL.
