I posted a while back how I had been denied a seat for Madi at my own school (the one I have worked at for 8 years) I put in a second application and got denied again. My principal did nothing for me. I could not believe it. She actually told me that if someone gave up their spot then I could bring Madi in. Don't do me any favors here...lol Well someone didn't bring in their kid so Madi got the spot. She went for a half day yesterday. I did not think she was going to be able to make it yesterday. She puked in the car half way there and we had to go back home to change her. When we got there she refused to talk to anyone! She warmed up right away when her teacher took out a rope for everyone to hold on to while walking in line. Dh stayed for a little while in the hall outside the class to make sure she would be okay. And she did great. She was so happy when I picked her up (It was my lunch period). Monday she starts full day. Oh and she has to wear a uniform. It is so cute. My MIL picked it up for her today. Pictures will be coming in a few days.
that's so exciting! i'm glad she made it through the day - i dont think any of them really talk until they're into it! i cant believe you were on a "waitlist" in your own school - wtf?!?!? sheesh. so glad she got a spot though, she's going to love it!!
Dang, I don't know how I missed this before. I can't believe how hard it was to get her in but I am so glad that it worked out. I am in the same boat in that I *wish* Gavin could attend one of the centers in our program but we just don't qualify. (Which of course I am thankful for but I know what a great school it is!)
Anyway, I can't wait to see pictures of her in her little uniform! How exciting!
