btw, that blue emoticon is "hmm" - he looks more "sad."
I've been meaning to post about this. Your questions were so helpful with the realtor.
He actually answered all of your questions/points without my even asking.
I loved him!
He called Saturday with an price to list at. It is $20K more than we thought we'd get and he thinks it is a good number. Fingers crossed! I think we are going to be listing this week (man, this makes me feel like puking).
I was asking him about the market and he said that right now, houses between 150k and 250k (really, 225) are still selling really well to new homeowners who are taking advantage of the really low interest rates.
That is where our house fits so we're cautiously hopeful.
we got another quote on the septic tank/field and it was lower (though not much lower). Hopefully we'll get that done this week or next.
and I'm going to get the flooring figured out this week hopefully.
sonya i'm so excited for you about your house! i hope you get fat stacks from it quickly and can settle in to your new place (commute free!!!!) very quickly.
Yay for all your exciting things! It will be so nice for you to just have Bennett.
And high school! Wow.
i think bennett will even be sleeping when the kids are at school. (they go from 1-3:30) so i might have 2+ hours of uninterrupted alone time 4 afternoons a week.

Dropping in for 2 minutes for a quick post. I'm still around...RA training is going on which is 2 straight weeks for 14 hour days. We are in the home stretch...students come back this weekend(ahhhhhh). I'll be glad to have some semblance of normal again. :)
Sort of, too early to really know. I had to hire a couple of back up candidates when some of my returners resigned over this summer. My staff looks like this. One returner who was my star last year who is too cool for school this year and might bite my shoe soon. One returner who I barely re-hired who is suddenly rocking my socks off. Love it. One returner who I stole from another staff who was RA of the year and pretty much could do my job better than I do. She is perfect. I have one newbie who I hired when I thought she would be the only new person on a staff of returners. So I purposefully chose a bitchy streak of a personaility to be able to handle all the know-it-alls. Well, all my know it alls quit...so now I'm just stuck with a bitch. Ah well. Two newbies are super solid. One newbie was pretty low in the back up pool but I took a chance. She is super socially awkward, but tries really hard (too hard...which makes her more awkward...). Verdict is out if she will make it the year. Whew, that was long. I'm getting too old for this RA training business.
