Hi!

Are you celebrating anything this weekend?

What is the next celebration coming up in your family?

Today we're going to Glen's parents' house to celebrate his grandparents' 65th anniversary.

And next weekend is Glen's mom's birthday but he thinks she'll probably go to the casino to celebrate.

Our next family "event" is my grandmother's birthday on Oct. 3rd, then mine on the 24th. There probably won't be any kind of gathering for either one though.

Hi!
No special celebration this weekend.  Just doing housework and visiting my mom and grandma.

Next big celebration:  Manuel's #12 birthday!!! I have a big boy now who wants a cell, an ipod touch, a laptop...  disbelief

No celebrations this weekend but it was DH, SIL and my birthday this past week so we've had enough cake.  It is my sister and BIL's birthday this week.  I am thinking of taking a trip to St. Augustine next weekend to celebrate with my sister. :)

None here this weekend, but September is a BUSY month here.

My mil's bday is the 3rd,  SG starts preschool the 9th,  my mom and her twin's bday is the 10th, my parent's wedding anniversary is the 18th, my dad's birthday is the 23rd and then my 20th high school reunion is the 25th and 26th.

Whew!  I'm ready for October to get here, lol

Oh yes, as usual.

Tomorrow we are having a joint party for my father in law, whose birthday was Wednesday, and my oldest nephew, whose birthday was yesterday. It is always someone's birthday in this family, it seems!!

Next weekend, we hae my neighbor's daughter's first birthday party, the next weekend is my MIL and SIL's birthday weekend, Bill's is on 9/21 (and he always wants a party, the big kid) and then we have I think 4 birthdays in October, including Kate's, plus my BIL & SIL's annual Halloween party.

It seriously never ends. Sometimes I just want to stay home!

We're home from the celebration.

It was fun.

My sil (brother's wife) invited us over to play once she gets home from the grocery store; I'm waiting for her to call.

Tomorrow afternoon Henry's friend John David is coming over to play and eat dinner with us.

The celebration would have been better for my children if Glen's cousin's wife and stepson had been there.

Glen's cousin and his wife recently separated but he said they were trying to work things out.

I know it isn't all about me but it would be nice if they could work it out, then Henry and Mark could play with Nicholas at family gatherings.

What were they thinking?!

I know way more details about this separation than I'd prefer because his wife over-shared on Facebook.

Good morning!

Still waiting for the storm.

It's off the bottom coast of Nova Scotia right now and heading our way. We aren't supposed to get the center of it so it is forecasted for tropical storm for here (but man, it looks close by).

It is sunny right now, with a weird wind (still light) and it has rained but it is nice now.

I'll keep you posted. If there's radio silence, I've lost power. lol.

Really raining now.

We're ready for it. Though the kids are already fighting. It's going to be  A.REALLY.LONG.DAY.

DH's BFF's wife is due in Sept on the 19th! Baby #3 and its their 3rd GIRL!!!!!! I can't wait to meet her! Poor Colin is surrounded by girls! hehehe

We've had a mellow weekend. He's been wild but what's new there? He's always a handful these days. Its frustrating.
no

We went to church today and I got to meet a new family that recently joined. They have a little boy Colin's age and those two became fast friends. And they are trying to rehome a St. Bernard puppy (10months) that the husband rescued from a bad situation. Crate trained- house trained, etc. Their daughter is afraid of him b/c he's big. But when they heard that since DH said the baby factory was shut down I wanted a Newfoundland (I've researched the breed extensively since I've been in the hospital)- they offered us the St. Bernard and since their son and our's are instant BFF's and real life Phineas and Ferb (seriously- you should have seen them)- we are going over to meet Samson (the dog) this week and let the boys play!

I'm excited and nervous b/c when most people find out how young I am- that tends to turn them off of us even though I don't always act my age.
hmm

I'm so glad that Colin made a new friend. I hope you fall in love with Samson and take him home.

I bet your new friends will love you, even if you are just a mere babe.

:D
