I know there have been a few posts discussing Halloween costumes but they aren't coming up when I search for them for some reason.... so sorry for repeating but...
What is your child going to be for Halloween?
Lucas started talking about it a few weeks ago when we started seeing Halloween stuff in stores. He kept changing his mind every time he talked about it but I think he has made up his mind... he wants to be Peter Pan.... which is his FAVE movie at the moment.
My 2 BFF And I are dressing all of our kids as the Wizard of oz. Braxton will be the scarecrow, Faith will be Dorthy and BFF's kids Ethan and Jadon will be the tinman and the lion.
We are even thinking about dressing up as the good witch, the wicked witch and maybe a munchkin to go along with the kids. If I can talk DH into it he could be the wizard.
Melissa - the Wizard of Oz idea is SOOOO cute. I can't wait to see pictures.
Gavin got a (brand new) costume from my sister that is a pirate costume from the disney store. So I wanted Owen to be Peter Pan to go with it. I really wanted to make Gavin's look like Hook but he won't let me draw a black mustache on his face, LOL.
Anyway, went to the disney store this morning and voila, 10 dollars off the costumes only from 9-10 for cardholders. (My mom has a card.)
Soooooo, we're going with the peter pan theme. I have a tinkerbell shirt I am going to wear while I take them out. Can't wait. They both look ADORABLE in their costumes. :)
rachel wants to be - you guessed it - hello kitty. this is tough bc HK doesnt really wear a specific outfit - so we decided she'll wear a pink tutu and a pink shirt/bodysuit ... and i'm knitting her a white beret style hat with ears and a bow knit on. i'll just do her face as a kitty (nose and whiskers).
cara wants to be mimmy (lmao - this is hk's twin sister who wears a green bow on the opposite ear). i'll make her the same hat and she'll wear a green tutu. rachel continually relegates C to "mimmy" status (she's so possessive of HK), and C eats it up without realizing that mimmy is totally subplot. hilarious.
