It is looking pretty likely we are going to get hit by the hurricane this weekend.

That is us, the first land that it hits. Awesome. It could still change but we still need to get organized for it.

The grocery stores are going to be madness for the rest of the weekend.

Last big hurricane people lost power for up to two weeks. That should make our move easy. lol.

sonya, that hurricane is the reason i don't want to live on the east coast.

i hope the path changes and/or it weakens and doesn't cause you any scary difficulty.

obviously check in when you can and let us know you're ok.

I'll keep you guys posted.

It will likely just be rain and wind but you never know.

I wonder if my roof blows off, will insurance replace it so that I don't have to do that before I sell? Interesting.

So, I somehow let my ipod headphones drag out of the trunk all the way home from town last week.

I ordered new ones from the Apple store (we get a company discount). They were shipped from China. I find that beyond bizarre. That must be SO expensive to do. I only paid $7 for shipping.

Good morning :sunshine:

Sonya I hope that you luck out and either the storm is no big deal and if it does any damage, it will ONLY be to the things you were going to replace so that insurance covers it. :fingers:  After living on the Gulf Coast of Florida, I know what a pita these can be.

Sara don't feel bad about not knowing what you are looking forward to.  It's morning. yawn

Right now I know I am looking forward to a cup of coffee. giggle.gif  In the next few months I am going to be optimistic and say I am looking forward to getting our house back in order and organizing my life. lmao.gif  It could happen. wink.gif

i'm trying a new approach. in an effort to help my kids focus on using the toilet i developed something called the "pee pee basket" and the "poo poo basket".

disgusting names but i just feel weird about talking to my kids about urinating and having bm-s. hmm

so the pee pee basket has things they don't normally get - pieces of gum, hershey kisses, fruit snacks, lollipops, etc.... - every time they pee on the toilet they get to pick from the pee pee basket.

the other basket works the same way but has "larger" things i got from the target $1 & $2.50 bins - disney flash lights, a little fishing game thing, etc....

then - if they make it a whole day with no accidents they get their one big toy. for mikey it's the dinosaur from toy story. (i haven't bought caroline's yet)

I'm looking forward to so much right now.

I'm looking forward to the house selling (fingers crossed)

I'm looking forward to being able to make supper at a leisurely pace rather than a frantic hurry up and feed everyone so they can go to bed pace.

I'm looking forward to putting the kids in swimming lessons.

I'm looking forward to NOT spending 10 hours a week in the car with two kids.

We leave soon to go have the extensive testing done with Elizabeth to see if/what developmental delays or learning problems she has.  It's going to be a long morning and I honestly don't look forward to this.

We went to the afternoon preschool yesterday, and her teacher is really nice and Elizabeth wanted to stay and meet other kids there.  I wasn't too sure about this school but think we should also give it a chance.  I also asked about Elizabeth's screening, and the teacher looked at and then said, "Oh she did really well."  shocked.gif  So I guess we will see what happens.

We don't want to send the message that you can just quit if you don't like things, but since it seems like you either have to sign up for it now or miss the boat, we are going to try it.  If she likes it and it's working we will keep her in it even if she doesn't need it.

i hope so too. they basically get distracted, procrastinate (i have to say, i know where they get this), and then it's too late.
