Please keep my Mom in your prayers. She had her thyroid biopsy to test for thyroid cancer today. They had to take 5 samples. I am praying it will be clear and/or if there is something it will be something they can treat.
Second, I have a little 2.5 year old that needs your prayers. She has neuroblastoma-OMA and has undergone many surgeries, chemo and treatments. She was in remission this spring. The neuroblastoma tumor was found in her left neck surrounding the carotid artery and several facial nerves. After some ineffective chemotherapy treatments and a prescribed steroid, it was determined that the best course of action was to remove as much of the tumor as possible and frequently monitor her progress. Over 90% of the tumor was removed and her condition was classified as in remission.
The tumor is now growing again and is malignant. No Dr. wants to touch it because of the nerves and scar tissue that the tumor is surrounded by. She will start to undergo treatment again to see if they can shrink the tumor.
Please keep her in your prayers. She has been through so much and has such a great spirit. Her parents are wonderful and actually they are expecting child #2 This Oct. Please pray for Mom too that she has a healthy remainder of her pregnancy. I know they can use all the prayers they can get and then some.
praying for the sweet little girl too. i work with a charity geared at raising money to fund neuroblastoma research, it really is such a tricky disease.
praying this round of chemo is able to buy some time until more effective strategies are available.

thanks, it sure is a very tricky disease. This little girl is so adorable. Because of the disease she walks, but constantly wobbles and falls. Allie is so cute with her. She fell into Allie's food one day at a picnic and Allie just helped her right up and did not say a word. I love seeing kids just being so kind and innocent.
My mom finds out tomorrow. I thought it was today.
The little girl, Emma. She is off to sloan kettering in NY to meet with a surgeon who specializes in her condition. I just pray this Dr. can help her. I wish I could do something to make it all better.
