you've ever found in your purse since you had kids?

i found a mostly-melted colby jack cheese stick tonight and it made me wonder.

i'd love to hear your weird stuff! :)

not that this is weird, but last spring, my students were doing a time capsule project on the 1950s for history class. they had to put things that represent "baby boom" into the time capsule and lots of kids did things specific to the idea of baby.

one of my students was like, "oh no! i forgot that pacifier i bought!" and of course, voila, i had one in my purse that i could give him to use. :P

hmm, I am sitting here at 1 am trying to  figure out what the weirdest things is.

I am not sure about weird, but I find silverware in my purse often. That is on the strange side I would think.

I did clean out my one bag the other day and came across a yucky apple. I had not used in and had it hanging up and went to clean it out. I cannot believe it did  not stink or draw any bugs. Now that is not weird, but flat out gross :puke:

not baby related, but my grandma has macular degeneration, and i had the unfortunate experience of an ER run with her last year.
i had noooo idea what i was supposed to do, so i brought all her prescriptions with me, since i knew they'd ask, and i knew i had NO answers and she has no clue what she takes.
what i didnt realize is that all the pills are in "talking" pill containers bc she cant see.

so all day/night, i couldnt figure out for the life of me why i was hearing a mechanical voice say "prozac" from my bag over and over. LMAO.

That is awesome, Kelly. Nothing like your purse telling you that you need prozac, lol. I never knew they had talking ones either. My grandfather had MD also.

Great question.

And Kelly, I never heard of that too!  That would have freaked me the frig out!

I would say the weirdest thing was loose kiddie underwear.  Usually I'd have it as part of a "just in case" kit, but I think I grabbed a pair quick when I was running out the door over a year ago and it's still there. ( Actually I may have actually taken it out when I switched bags a few months ago.)

I had a few instances where I'd pull out my wallet to pay for something and a pair of Cinderella undies would come flying out with it.  Very classy.  biggrin

I am pretty sure when you have little ones, there are many weird things that end up in your purse.  Although Kelly I did get a good chuckle out of the talking pills. giggle.gif

I think right now the weirdest thing in my purse is either a straw or a spool of craft ribbon.

Is this a purse or a bag, Sonya, lol

I think the plug covers are pretty random and funny.

Half of a jawbreaker.

I don't think candy in a purse is all that interesting, but the fact that it's half of the world's hardest candy is pretty weird, lmao.

Holy crap, Sonya. And I thought I carried a lot!

Sonya, you may be brilliant. The more I think of it, I am going to toss some into the diaper bag. Mia is on the move and into everything. That may not be a bad idea to carry some in the event we are somewhere without them.

the first hotel we stayed at with the kids freaked me out. i was so busy clorox wiping everything that i didn't think of the plugs until I saw Josie crawling at record speed towards those ever so convienent plugs.

now i always pack some when we hotel it.

What a great thread!

Grabbed my purse and looked to see what was in it, mostly normal purse stuff (lipgloss, feminine products, wallet, keys, etc), but there was some randomness:

One sock. Just one, Hannah’s of course, I wonder where the other one is. Ha ha!
IV needle (yup, so need to put that back where it belongs, hold on: done!)
Alcohol wipes (oops, those should go with the IV needle)
Free sample of shampoo and conditioner (not doing my hair much good in my purse)
Plastic buzz lightyear figurine, and bullseye and Rex. (:giggle)
One pink hair bow
One stuffed animal from McDonald’s

And, the piece de resistance? About 10 goldfishcrackers floating down around the bottom.

Thanks to you April, my purse is much cleaner now! :smile

I (almost) always keep some small cars in my purse for Christopher.  It's weird when I'm in school or out with my friends and accidently pull out a toy car when I'm trying to get a pen or a wallet smile
