Good morning! Feeling super stiff in the neck and back, but that crazy feeling I had in my arm and hand seems to be gone...I desperately need a new pillow.
Worst thing I've ever done to my hair? WENT BLONDE! It was horrible horrible horrible...plus my hair was SUPER short.
the most recent bad thing to my hair is it's present cut...can not wait for it to grow out.
The worst thing I've ever done to my hair was in 7th grade and got bangs cut for the first time. With my curls they curled up WAY to short so they were off the top of my head. (kinda hard to explain.)
I went to school early and had my friend meet me to come up with a solution.
I think the worst thing I ever did to my hair was years ago when I had really long hair. My friend straightened it, and I swear I looked like Pocahontas, lol. I HATED it!
It is interesting to me that this is a brand new site and we have guests already. there was one from canada today. i like how we can see where they are from. I guess assuming they tell us the right place.
The worst thing I've ever done to my hair was to let my hairdresser creatively interpret "shorter" (my hair was about shoulder length when I went in)...I walked out with no hair longer than an inch or two anywhere on me, omg. I looked like a boy!
I was about 20 when that happened, I think. It was right before the fall semester of college started back up, too! When we were moving back into the dorm, one of my buddies poked his head into my room and said "I think you forgot something back at home!" talking about my hair. Not my best style moment!
(I spiked that shiz and sprayed it black and went goth for Halloween...you should have seen my CS prof's face!)
After I graduated from hs I went to a place in the mall per my stupid boyfriends request. My hair has lots of natural wave and not as easy to cut as one might think. He described the style he wanted and then the woman cut my hair. It was terrible. It was kind of a punk hair cut gone bad with some long layers and short spike things. When I went home my mom was not happy until I looked at her and started crying. Due to the hair butcher job, I went from parting my hair in the middle to parting it on the side.
A perm. I was in 9th grade and the first time anything was done to my hair. My hair has been really dry every since then. I went a lot of years wearing a bandanna over my hair until I decided to cut it off 9 months pregnant with Raven. I got the boy comment a lot from family. After it grew out some I finally realized what length I like and was manageable for me. I hate dealing with hair. Probably why I was blessed with a little girl with a little amount of hair. Hopefully by the time she has long hair she will be taking care of it herself.
my mother was the worst thing that ever happened to my hair.
she used to take me to "Tammy's Touch" and Tammy was the devil. she was the worst hairdresser ever and did the worst haircuts for my hair. and my wonderful mother kept taking me back there. i preferred going the dentist over going to the hairdresser.
i thought i'd be ugly forever.
then i went with a friend to a good hairdresser and it totally changed my life.
we have an appointment tonight for the interview with the co-op.
fingers crossed!
apparently there are two families applying (us and anther family).
there are two apartments available so hopefully we'll get the one we want.
Good luck! Crossing fingers here! Be sure to post and let us know how it went. Do you know anything about the other apartment? Would it be something you would want or not really?
I bleached my hair (not blond, but yellow, lmao) when I was 18. It took two applications, and my scalp bled. 2 days later, I got a serious job interview, so I needed to cover it up. I bought auburn, and only the red picked up. So it was FIRE ENGINE red. Not like a redhead, like red, red. Joe loved it though, lol. But I had to go to the interview like that, but the lady laughed and we talked about bad hair experiences, and I got the job (then died it brown, and no one recognized me)
I also got a perm (not my first, by far) in high school, that only took in the back, and I had to cut off all my hair.

its in a great location (not quite as good in some ways but better in others). it doesn't have the extra space (attic) and the laundry is in the basement. the rents are the same.
Hi! Mark and I just got out of the bath/shower respectively, so we're all smoke-free after a nice visit with Nana.
When I was in college, I saw a 20/20 or something about how perms had changed and now they didn't leave your hair looking like straw. In fact, they were supposed to make your hair look healthier. So I came home one weekend and got a perm. Well, the salon hadn't seen that episode of 20/20 so I ended up with a headful of straw. Blah.
Oh, and how could I forget my first "real" haircut? I had just turned 13, and my mom took me to get my hair cut. It had always been long and straight before that--halfway down my back, all pulled back from my face. I told the stylist I wanted my hair shoulder-length and layered--meaning that I wanted most of my hair to go down to my shoulders. The stylist layered it really close to my head so the longest strand (when the wave was pulled out) barely went down to my shoulders. Also, my hair has this weird reaction to major haircuts where it puffs out REALLY big after a big change. So I had a huge poufy afro for a while. I HATED that.
