hey sonya and all!

i don't remember my first - but i remember my first all by myself, and i was 6 years old - my parents flew me directly from cleveland to washington dc to visit my grandparents.  i sat in the first row, and i remember i wore a black and white gingham check dress with two big ladybugs on the 2 front pockets - my mom handmade the dress for me especially for that trip and i had a few candies in the pockets!

Hey girls!!!

My first flight was to Phoenix... last year. lmao!

Had it not been for Ryan (Jen's dh) following through with his side of the planning, I probably would have never flown for any other reason, for anyone else. I was a nervous wreck leading up to it, but I enjoyed it. (Although typing that, I started gettting a panic attack, lmfao.)

i'm not 100% sure, but my guess would be florida. my grandparents lived there for pretty much all of my life (until they passed away) and we flew down to see them about once per year.

My father's funeral. I was 19, almost 20. It was the first time in 10 years I would be seeing him.

Good Morning!

The first flight for me was from Memphis to Canton, Ohio.  I was competing for a scholarship at my dad's company so they flew me to the home headquarters.  I was a senior in high school but didn't mind going to nowhere ville (dover, ohio is the exact location) because I lived there until the middle of my sophomore year and still had friends there.

Oh, I didn't get the scholarship either, but had lots of fun. biggrin

Morning, y'all!

I'm not sure. I haven't flown many times at all but I think the first time was to Birmingham, Alabama from here (Memphis). It was a super-short flight because B'ham is only about 4 hours from here. My mom's family lived in B'ham. I was a kid--maybe 10 or 11.

In college, I flew to Harlingen, Texas.

Unfortunately my dad didn't work for anyone quite that big.  He worked for Marlite or Masonite.  They kept changing the name but they made office partitions, slot walls,  doors, and things of that nature that businesses use to build in the insides of their buidlings.  We use to joke everytime we went to McDonalds about the bathroom door because my dad designed it. laughing.gif

i don't think i updated on the apartment.

it is perfect.

I really hope we get it. Because it is a housing co-op, we have to go through an interview process. We lived in the co-op before and were members in good standing when we left so I am not too worried but you never know who is applying.

the apartment has two real bedrooms (one very small but we could put bunkbeds in). It also has another small room with the stairs to the attic in it that could easily be a bedroom. It has laundry in the apartment, an old kitchen and bathroom but they are ok. A big living room, dining room and best of all, a walk up attic that runs the whole length of the apartment. It would be a perfect play place for the kids and an office for us + still having lots of storage.

A big fenced in backyard.

I really really really hope we get it. If you can send us some positive thoughts, that would be wonderful.
